A fun, weird, and kinda terrifying reminder:
You are on a raft of rock and soil, floating on hundreds if not thousands of miles of white-hot liquid rock.

Or how about this. That thin blue band of atmosphere? That's all that's keeping us from a vacuum, that thin band o' blue. Only hundreds of miles thick, and looks quite tiny in perspective.
