Why would I care? As you said, most people here are kids who haven't matured yet.
I usually write off most republicans as mentally disturbed, irrationally fearful, hate-filled, brainwashed, and/or plain stupid when it comes to opposing gay rights like marriage and equal protections in the work place, so that usually doesn't bother me either (it does in the sense that this mindset was able to develop so far, but I'm not bothered by these people because I know why they think that way).

Read my motto. But yeah, you're pretty much fucked in the head (the politically correct term would be sociopathic) if you agree with denying human rights to people.
-
I support same sex marriage, but marriage is not a human right.
-
I've met more hateful Democrats than Republicans, (and while its primarily b/c of the political ratio here) everyone has the potential to be a d*ck.
-
Name calling doesn't count as being hateful. Having the belief that innocent groups of people shouldn't live life happily is hateful.
-
Yeah I've had democrats say that anyone whom isn't white, and straight need to either die or leave where I live (Long Island). I'm not trying to disprove what your saying but rather just bring up the fact that just because you believe in one political party doesn't make you instantly tolerant/non tolerant of certain beliefs and lifestyles.
-
Yeah and there are plenty of conservatives who want to bring back slavery. But that isn't what most believe so it's irrelevant. Go by the popular policies of each party and then you can say who is more hateful.
-
I hope you realize that the Democratic Party was the party of slavery and Jim Crow segregation.
-
I hope you realize that was when the Democratic Party was conservative and the Republican Party was liberal.
-
too bad that is not true at all
-
Yeah, so explain to me how enforcing slavery is liberal?
-
Nobody said slavery was a liberal idea.
-
At the time you were conservative if you wanted to conserve the tradition of slavery. Of course times have changed, but my point is that it's irrelevant whether or not the democrats supported it at the time because ideology is more important than parties. Parties are actually meaningless.
-
I'm not which is more, I just want people to realize that no party is 100% good. Obviously you are one of the smarter people that sees this.
