What if the Sword Art Online and IGPX are in the same universe!? They would just be at different times since IGPX is set in 2049-50 and SAO is set in the 2020-2025 timeline. It would definitely explain why Takeshi from IGPX is playing a shitty ass handheld game even though it's 2050. There must have been some sort of laws after the SAO incident that heavily restricted video games. It would also explain why he was able to enter a virtual reality during a race in order to get rid of a virus in his mech's OS. There really aren't any conflicting portions of timeline or technology. It's all there. It could be possible! [spoiler]NOTE: This is strictly in a fantasy sense. Obviously this is not the case and there would be legal implications regarding the licenses of each show if such a thing was attempted. But you have to admit, it would be cool.[/spoiler]
