University parties.

I went to a party last Friday, which was pretty much the end of term party since everyone is studying now and becoming organized for December exams. It was... more wild than usual. It was supposed to be this Friday, but y'know people could not make it and all that. Let me start by saying that the "dress to impress" theme actually helped. Everyone was pretty much all dressed very nicely. The alcohol was unlimited, and that was a real treat! I was just hanging out with my usual uni friends... and we had a lot of fun talking, dancing, drinking, etc. I even told my cheap friend (if you people remember her from my other thread) that she looked nice. Yep she was dressed in a black dress, though it would have been better if she wore red to match her hair. She was drunk out of her mind because she literally forgot how to speak to me and just said OH IT IS YOU! Like some drunkard would. I did get angry with her for something though. She has never smoked in her life (or so she told me) so I liked her for that alone because it meant we had something in common. What does she do next? Ha-ha well at this point she was finished, drunk to the point that she took a cigarette out of one of my friend's hand and then put it in her mouth. She told him to light it... and I was all like "Are you ok?!" Clearly, she was not! I later just went to chill outside because I hated what I saw. She later came outside and told me she is feeling sick. I harshly answered, "Whose fault is that?" (As if she has not drank enough already) She told me that the cigarette was gross and all that and she wanted water. I clearly care for her so I started getting water for her. When I returned I saw her vomiting all over the place. I was worried at this point and started asking people how much she drank. I told her that she should have not given in to the cigarette, and now she was feeling stupid. Clearly, she knows I got ticked off with her. Anyway, let me get to the wild stuff. I was talking with one of my other friends, when all of a sudden we turn around and see one of my other friends kissing another girl passionately and wildly on the lips... It was the main highlight of the show and caused many wtf faces. My friend could not even talk to me and I was worried she would start grabbing me if I got any closer. Her eyes were just weird and she looked like some seductive mistress. Her kissing the other girl out of pure drunkenness disgusted me. It made her look like an attention whore. I think she told me she had a boyfriend as well. Let me just say that it got wild, and I pretty much hated her later for saying nothing happened when I asked if she was okay. The other blonde she was kissing even had a tongue piercing so.... yeah it was pretty "wild" Do you think that my friends wanted to show off? I am all for "showing off" as long as it is not ridiculous things like what I saw. FYI: I have seen girls kissing before, but I just hate the fact that it was a slutty move if anything. This friend is normally nice and calm/collected, so it was a bit shocking to say the least. I still talk to her but I know she has that crazy side to her and I would not even be surprised if she gets a disease sometime. Do you think this was normal of my friends? Do you have similar experiences with uni parties? I did not give in to cigarettes/drugs and never will. I just ignore all that stuff when I go to parties. Do you just simply watch your friends become attention whores? Enlighten me. There were points where some of my friends would cling on to me/ give me drunken kisses but that is all. I would not do these stupid things like two of my friends did (above) Do you think it is not their fault and I should give them a chance before they lose my respect?

  • It's quite simple for me. I never went/go to parties where people get drunk like idiots because those are not the people I want to be associated with. So no, I don't let my friends become attention whores because they aren't drunken idiots who don't know how to control themselves or their body.
