Hey guys/girls!
So as you all know, there's been a lot of trolls, lately. And #Destiny leapt to defend their game. First and foremost, I would like to say that I am an avid Bungie fan.
Now, your responses have brought a concerning matter to my attention: There are a lot of people thinking that Destiny will be perfect; that it will completely change gaming; or that it will be the most amazing game ever.
I agree that the game will be good. However, you must think realistically. Destiny will not be perfect. It will not change the face of gaming forever. It will not be the most amazing game ever. Especially, not when it releases. Nevertheless, I think that it will be good.
I recognize that hype has overtaken some of you. That's OK. However, you also need a healthy amount of skepticism to balance it out. You can't go in thinking that it will be 100% perfect. You'll set yourself up for disappointment. You need to recognize that the game will have flaws. Every game does.
Also, please recognize that some people won't be as excited for Destiny as you are. That's OK. It's their opinion. Not yours. Respect theirs and they will respect yours.
In conclusion, while Destiny will be a great game, it will not be perfect. Armed with this knowledge, go out and enjoy everything #Destiny!
P.S.
This probably won't change peoples' minds, but I thought it was worth a shot. Also, I typed ALL of this on my phone. So, you really have no excuse for poor grammar.

1 Respuesta
Destiny will not be perfect. It will not change the face of gaming forever.
It's entirely possible that it could change the face of gaming forever. Halo did.

3 RespuestasI realize, as I did with Reach, that Bungie games tend to be less good than their hype. That said, they are always solid games that provide me hours of entertainment, and the hype is just another part of the experience. Bungie is just as much about hype as they are about making great games, if you don't get over-excited for their next game then you're missing out.

No your an idiot #praisebungie destiny will be. The most games ever

From the words of Deej:
Hide the threads that annoy you. Mute the repeat offenders. People seem to be putting more effort into complaining about each other than taking action that improves their forum browsing experience. That is strange. You have the power. You need only to wield it. Think of Bungie.net as a destination in the game we're creating for you to play. There is a world to explore here. You can separate the loot from the villains. There is no one thing that you will ever be able to say to bring the entire conversation into alignment with what you'll want to hear. You will need to take action.
Would you like to support the Big Troll Foundation (BFE), we build bridges for trolls who lost their bridges to high taxes all over the world and would appreciate any help we can get in moving our cause forward. Please consider, any donation could mean a bridge for a whole bridgeless troll family and together I believe one day that we can have every troll safely under their own bridge.

I love riding the bungie wave. After I first heard about Destiny I was so stoked. Then I calmed myself down, realizing it was a long way off and just another game. Then the second video released and I found myself high again, heart racing, jabbering to anyone who would listen to me about Destiny, sharing videos with friends. Then again I came to peace with the realization of it just being a game that I will only get a few hours with at the end of each day, still a year away. Another video releases... Wash, rinse, repeat. I tell myself I'm getting too hyped and setting myself up for disappointment, then a podcast comes out, or a weekly update, and I'm hooked again. I think the bungie marketing team must be made up of retired drug dealers cause they sure know how to string me along. Even if this game is a total flop, this roller coaster leading to the release is a blast!

Yah, I kinda learned to stop getting into hype after halo 2's cliffhanger almost killed my soul, If you get too swept up in hype you're likely setting too high a standard for the game to reach. It's hard not to get giddy at a new bungie project though, they have made some of my favorite games.

My lord... +100 It may not be perfect and I agree it won't. But it will be extremely good and in my opinion will set the standard for next gen gaming. And what is expected in the future.
-
"It will not change the face of gaming forever." We don't know that for sure. It's likely not to, but we don't know until it's released.

Finally, a well seasoned and reasonable argument. Kudos for typing it all on phone.

Uhhhh it will be pretty dang good
