Games that have lived up to hype/are underrated?
In a counter to some overrated games, what do you think are some games that people should really pay more attention to? Or that have met their expectations?
I absolutely love the Mass Effect series.

Thanks to [b]A Stolen Fruit[/b], I've remembered the BioShock series.
Yes, I love BioShock 1 & 2. I haven't played Infinite quite yet.

All games I have ever been hyped about have lived up to said hype. I keep my expectations pretty low even when "hyped". I am always happy with a purchase that is hyped by myself. The only game I have ever tossed to the side was Dead Island. I had only viewed the CGI trailer. then one day I saw it for $20 at a swap-meet thinking sweet, a BRAND NEW RELEASED GAME?(used)! I traded it into Gamestop about a week later.

7 RespuestasMass Effect gets a lot of hurt cause of the ending of the third one. The series is great until the last ten minutes. I refuse to let that ending spoil the other 75+ hours of gameplay!

Enslaved, dead rising. Everyone hates on dead rising but it's a fantastic game. it just seems were in an fps era and although there are some great games that people like that aren't fps. But the majority of games are imo.

I looked up some info on Bnet, watched trailers, and eventually a walkthrough from SpongeFreak before deciding that it had to be in my Xbox. 4 years later and I've never been more satisfied with a game. For global hype, I'd say Animal Crossing New Leaf has met and in many cases exceeded expectations.

I think even if it has it's flaws, Unreal Tournament 3 xbox 360 edition was seriously underrated.

I think the crysis series is an underrated but yet absolutely fantastic game series!

I know I'm a fanboy, but I've never been disappointed with a Zelda game. Underrated I'd give the award to guardians of middle earth. Designwise it's amazing for a console moba and gives justice to The Lord of the rings franchise. If only it had a solid net code...
