I understand where you are coming from but you are newer to the forums correct?
The Bungie community is great and sometimes a little over zealous. Imagine if your family and friends only talked about news and things that mattered. Seems a little boring to me.
Just look at Bungie. They once had frog mounts and tiger man in Destiny. Part of video games is being creative and having fun! So a company that makes those kind of games will attract those kinds of people.
The mount and pet posts were fun. Sure some of the comments were unintelligent and crude but you will always have those.
The mayor one was very well thought out and creative. I don't think posts like that cheapen the game but enhance the community.
If you really think the Destiny forum has gotten bad go to the Flood! XD
I am not trying to call you out or be a jerk, which the jerk store is all out of. Rather just some food for thought.
Believe you e good sir, when there is news the whole community will be talking about it.

I see you point good sir. New to forums no, but to Bungie forums yes. I can see how my newness to this forum could have narrowed my take on what seems silly and unrelated to Destiny(as it is now). There are still some topics that no one can deny are, as you said, "unintelligent and crude". Funny, I am taking a liking to the whole mayor bit. Also, SHARKNADO, it's somehow made it as a topic on here, and while it is the dumbest thing in the world(especially the movie) to put in Destiny, the direction the forum has taken is quite comincal. Animal(pet) mounts, I see now has some basis and history behind, but I still don't see how that will play out in the game due to its future advancement. Maybe that is why we see no more media on the like, I dunno. I will have more of an open mind while I peruse this forum from time to time. Thanks for you intelligent and gentleman like input good sir.
