I'm not sure how to interpret the OP, it just seemed like a mess. So I'll just reply to the title instead:
I am ok with the way that multiculturalism is in this country right now, but I don't like the thought of the country being 50% British and 50% other (<- you'll have to excuse my ignorance, I can't seem to formulate my thoughts into words appropriate at the moment).
I think it's an important part of being British to have a very diverse and mixed community, and having a multicultural society is something I really think defines the UK. Sadly tolerance is not always present when it comes to diversity, but I think if we give it time we'll all be getting along just swell.

Just to check, is your definition of British a white person who was born here, or anyone of any race who was born and brough up here as a Brit?
