They nerfed the bee shield like a month ago. Why did they do it? Because the conference call + bee shield was insanely OP. However, there is now a few new weapon + bee combos that are also cheap.

How can you be cheap in a game that has no player vs. player multiplayer? It's just a co-op game, and it's so ridiculously silly that it's impossible to take it seriously, or at least I thought it was. Are you telling me that some people take Borderlands as seriously as competitive Halo or CoD and complain about cheap weapons in a game that is almost exclusively co-op campaign? The update seems to just ruin the game for a lot of people who just want a fun game to goof around in.

It was considered overpowered because the 2 raid bosses on disc could be soloed in 10 seconds by 1 person... I'm not saying its competitive, just game breaking. The first time I killed Terramorphusis (a raid boss), it took about 2-3 hours of failed attempts with duoing and another 30 mins with a 4 man team to slay the beast. With the conference call + bee shield I soloed it in under 30 seconds per kill.

But some of us like beating Terramorphous in two minutes with overpowered guns. No one was forcing you to use the Bee and the Conference Call. You chose to. You could have used a shield that didn't make your guns overpowered. It's that simple. All the update did was make the game less fun for people like me, when people like you had no issue to begin with. It's that simple. I don't see how anyone can complain about weapons being overpowered in a game based entirely on co-op campaign. You can literally just pick a different gun, and a gun as rare as the Conference Call should be insanely powerful to begin with.

Its not my game, I'm just telling you why 2k nerfed the bee/conference call. I didn't mind farming raid bosses either, but I can't control what 2k does to their own game. Besides, you can always delete the update from your console and kill the raid bosses offline (get the guns you want) then redownload the update to play with friends.

I just wish 2K didn't nerf it and I don't quite understand the problem with it. I understand the problem with modding online, like on CoD, but I don't get why anyone cares about it in a game based around co-op. Dead Island has a ton of modded weapons, and they've never patched it. It just adds variety to the game. I wish 2K would take some notes and leave in all the fun weapons. One of my biggest complaints with the first Borderlands was that they got rid of most of the modded guns, most of which were either hilarious or awesome. Then, Borderlands 2 has a shield that makes most guns overpowered, so they nerf it. It just makes the game a bit slower and less hilarious.
