Ok, so I'm going to be upgrading my GPU. I've never done this before; my first gaming PC was a prebuilt, but it's time that I get an upgrade. I've decided on this GPU, but I'm not sure if the brand matters. My current brand is EVGA, and this caught my eye. Would I be better off getting a different brand, or maybe even a whole different card? Thanx.

Mother of god, spending 400$ on a graphics card? Buy something older and cheaper, there won't be a big difference anyway.

I currently have one GTX 670 installed in my machine and it is amazing. It can handle any games in DirectX 11 in 1080. However here's where it gets heavy. I have three monitor, which one of them is higher than 1080. It was able to run BF3 on that monitor resolution at a good decent 30 FPS. So my advice is, if you only have one monitor that's either 1080 or lower, go for it. It handles everything! However if you have multiple of monitors with higher resolution than 1080, I'd wait for the new graphic card. Or at least you can settle with this one, but you would have to adjust the setting of your games to get the framerate you wanted to achieve.

Word is that we'll be seeing the 700 series sometime in spring, so you may want to keep that in mind unless it's urgent.

That is my exact card and it is awesome. Maxes every game out there at the minute at 60fps+, so far apart from Guild wars 2 which is stable at 50-55 on max. So yes. Get it if you can afford to. It's worth it.

as long as you have the proper power connectors and your PSU can supply enough power, you're good
