I agree, it's listed as a boon but it's a negative for my build as a solar Warlock..
They already force you to take very specific challenge mods and player stakes, the arbitrary selection of a boon that doesn't benefit you is annoying. A forced Boon that changes your class ability or grenade to a different element or type is not a boon. It can nerf your build.
Not to mention that, if you are already running a strand build with grapple it doesn't really add anything to your strand build. It does nothing but tinker with the score.
Boon, I think not. This specific Boon is an outlier and needs to go.
Not to mention that, if you are already running a strand build with grapple it doesn't really add anything to your strand build
Just like other "grenade-focused builds," even a build using Grapple does so because it's actually using the Grapple Melee which isn't part of the Grapple modifier. Builds relying on Grapple are just as crippled as Solar Warlock builds with this modifier. My Prismatic build uses Grapple Melee as a way to heal and go invisible, and this modifier completely removes that important emergency button. It only "helps" through traversal/skippable areas, and it's not necessary to do that unless you're trying to power-farm the content. It sucks.

Good to know. I rarely use grapple for travel because I suck at it. Lol.

Amen. If Bungo is going to F my grenade they should at least take it out to dinner first.

Yeah, and ditch the “Danger: Keep Moving”
