This is the most delusional post I’ve ever seen. Titan is trash, it’ll stay trash. 16% usage rate and plummeting. Half of these changes are nerfs anyways. Unbreakable got gutted for no reason, and Shiver Strike got mostly nerfed anyways.
Diamond Lance got some minor PvE buffs, and Barricade got some weak PvE reworks. Dodge is still insanely busted, you essentially have a 30 second melee cooldown for no reason other than Hunter being Bungie’s favorite “give me” child.
TLDR; Hunter meta still going strong after 10 years, Titan continues to lay in the gutter.

If you think a 0.5 second block to follow up melee on new Shiver Strike is "mostly nerfed" with all of its obvious buffs, I don't know what to say to you. Titan is far from trash in either pvp or pve. You should just make and play into a build. They didn't receive a nerf to every subclass cause they desperately needed more power. Their taunt and tank changes are good for a class that needed some life blood in the PvE department. The sniper we got for final shape and prismatic tipped the scales. Doesn't mean these changes won't demand more "power creep". Of air dash, thruster, and dodge, dodge is certainly not busted. Melee return requires close proximity to the enemy and has been a part of the kit and balanced as such for years. No one is dying from Hunter melee in such high numbers that this is real complaint. You can still melee someone who has dodge rolled from you while slowed with knockout. I'll trade you any one of Hunter's melees for the future Shiver Strike that you think got "mostly nerfed".

16% and falling. The highest play percentage Titan ever got in Trials was 34%. There’s 3 classes in this game, and when a class makes up, get this, a third of the playerbase, y’all lose your minds and say it’s hard meta and can’t be countered. But then when Prismatic Hunter alone makes up half the Trials population, it’s “just adapt.” Titan is absolute dog, it has never come close to even competing with Hunter, and these nerfs are making sure of that.

Editado por Seiryoku: 9/22/2024 10:21:40 PMI didn't say just adapt. I was one of the first that said Prismatic Hunters need to see nerfs. People will always have preferred classes. That wont always be in direct correlation to the effectiveness of those classes. People have subjective interpretations of what is "the best". All with different criteria for assessing that. You can call Titan "absolute dog" if you'd like. It's not true. Even as their numbers dwindle. Negative sentiment drives people away more than what the class is lacking. That's why I want to see the Rumble information. Not just the Trials info. I have seen their win rates in Trials from 3 weeks ago on each subclass. I understand why they thought this necessary. But then Prismatic Warlock is worse than dog by your description. They aren't crying. It was Dawnblade and Void Walker propping them up. Yes, there are a lot of Hunters. For all the annoying Hunters that kill you, many more are also slaughtered. You just don't remember those ones as much. They have a lower barrier to entry and account for a large majority of the population. Prismatic Hunter is cheesy and deserved nerfs because of the combination of abilities. The obvious disparity that will ensue at the highest levels, as described, will create negative sentiment in the largest population of the still consistent Crucible players that remain. So they will either walk these things back or eventually be forced to meet the other classes in kind when the people that want to leave for Titan and Warlock do so and it still doesn't have an equal three way split. But people are angry. Say whatever you want.

Oh, yeah, you were “one of the first” to call for Prism Hunter nerfs. Ok bud. You can say “it’s just because of the cape” but as a Hunter main, I can honestly confirm that Hunter is flat out the strongest class. And that’s not because they had the most amount of players in the first place. It’s because they were the strongest in the first place. If you’re following my point. Bungie didn’t decide to make Hunter the strongest because for some reason they were played the most. They are the easiest, most braindead class, so everyone flocks to it for easy mode. Naturally, Bungie keeps it substantially stronger than the other classes to keep the players happy. Titan is weak. You can swear up and down that it’s strong, just not used much, but the numbers don’t lie. It’s a horrible class, and that’s all there is to it.

Hunters fight other Hunters you know. And yes, aesthetics on character creation directly influences what people will pick. Along with jump mechanics and time to learn subclass abilities.
Over the years they have certainly had builds that have a low barrier to entry to find success, but not necessarily the "best". I heard your point. And it certainly doesn't account for the entire history of pvp and how "easy mode" all classes have had at one time or another.
