Hello there, Thanks for reporting. We launched a mandatory "date of birth" screen in Destiny 2. This is a one-time ask. Players who input a date younger than 13 years old will be restricted from certain features like text chat. Any questions about the date of birth can be answered in this article: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/24217906958868-Date-of-Birth-Requirements-for-Destiny-2-and-Bungie-Services

Thanks for the response, appreciate the info. I've gone over that page several times. Assuming my son entered his birth date correctly, he is now almost 15. So not sure why that would have changed things on his account. Prior to the April update, all was working fine. I have asked my son to resubmit the "Correct my data" contact form, as per your direction. But as under 16, he does not possess government photo ID... so, kinda hit all wall there. You may want to provide a better channel. However, your page (nor respone) answers my question: How do I remove him, as per the page's direction:
Responsible adults can unlink a child’s account from their own account at any time, which will result in the child's account returning to their previous settings if they aren't yet an adult.

Child accounts can unlink a responsible adult's account from their own account at any time.
There is no reference to that on my, or his, Bungie.net account. Please advise. We've been trying to fix this for 2 months. I see others on this forum, and online, are experiencing the same problem. Your detailed help page is neither detailed, nor helpful. Please offer a bit more direction if possible. ~ With respect ~

  • Hi there Bravo, I just double-checked this, and as a parent I seem to have no way to unlink my kid from my Bungie.net account's Settings > Parental Controls page. However, when I log onto my child's Bungie.net account and go to their parental control settings, click Sign In, and wait until the page finally loads, it shows my account with an option to Unlink. Hopefully that will work for you? Best regards!
