I’ve always thought this. Other PvP games do this, why does Bungie think their sandbox is so perfect that they wouldn’t need to do it too?
There are a handful of over performing weapons, armor and abilities that should be disabled to keep things competitive inside trials.
Again, does Bungie think their sandbox is perfect? They should really consider this idea. It’s not a new one. There have been plenty of competitive pvp games before it that have implemented this and/or still do.

Trials is not and will never be competitive
-
Because they don’t do things like this, yeah.
-
Trials and destiny pvp will never be competitive because of all the Bs in the game
-
They could easily change things to make it competitive. Restricting weapons and abilities is a great example. They simply choose not to, or ignorantly think their sandbox is too good for that sort of thing.

When you consider how much variety is in the game, you realize that Destiny is most balanced than most games (granted, it took 10 years, and we are still not "perfect")
-
Brother, D2 is not the most balanced out of most games. That’s an asinine comment that leads me to believe you don’t play many other pvp games

It IS one of the most balanced when you consider the amount of variety. Most other games create "balance" by eliminating options. Destiny creates balance by creating counters and, ya know, actually balancing things Example: Ranked COD allows 1 AR out of around 20. Restricting weapons requires little to no effort, and it results in boring and stale gameplay where fewer playstyles are viable
