Boy was I happy to hear there would be a quest for the exotic instead of rng (40ish runs on oryx and counting)... one week later and im a very depressed gamer. I am plagued by typically bad rng and adding rng to this quest hurt me in a different way. This essence is damn near impossible to get and it makes me so sad. I wanted another divinity quest so bad and its so sad to see basically an all rng quest to replace the rng drop at the end. Sure it can be achieved faster, but maybe it will take you more time than it would have with getting it at the end. We lost the experience of getting a raid exotic first time for an all rng quest instead of the experience of beating a difficult quest like divinity. So sad to see bungie, please buff the drop rate at least.

So sad to see bungie, please buff the drop rate at least.[/quote] They are never making a divinity style quest again it destroys the whole point of a raid exotic, Raid exotics are meant to be rare unlike the extremely easy to get other exotics (excluding dungeon ones) Bungie gave a path that guarantees it after enough crotas end raids, if you refuse to be impatient just think for a second how people have over 100 clears of VoG (looter runs) and still dont have Vex

3 RespuestasWhat bungie should do. Pop a crota weekly bounty at bird lady. Bounty is...Complete all encounters of crota . Reward is 2 essence of oversoul.

So sad to see bungie, please buff the drop rate at least.[/quote] Idk why you expected another Divinity quest Players keep thinking that this was gonna be like the revamped Necrocasm quest from D1 but forget how hated of a quest it was considering it had 0 to do with crota (other than 1 crota kill) and practically gave a raid exotic for free Its not much of a raid exotic if it doesn’t involve doing the raid alot

Bump ^ I agree they need to make it a guaranteed to drop from every encounter across all characters for looted clears, And they should also increase the drop rate for non loot clears and make it easier to farm cuz not everyone have the time to play 3 hours + of Destiny 2 everyday cuz of work and school and it’s stupid when you have to farm a heavily rng resource with abysmal drop rate to get what is supposed to be a guaranteed raid exotic weapon because that's what's Exotic weapon quests are for. I’ve only gotten Essence this week and i did fresh looted clear on all of em the drop rate is absolutely horrible that it’s depressing and demotivating. And in the End a Exotic Quest and a Exotic Raid Weapon quest isn’t meant to be dependent on horrible rng elements.

1 RespuestaApparently the only guaranteed drop is Crota on your first time per week. The RNG for this quest is just as bad if not worse than the other raids. 1-in-5 but 20x versus 1-in-20 chance. On average, Necrocasm is ~15 weeks of raiding. (~60 raids) On average Conditional Finality is around 7 weeks. (~20 raids) If they just let you get a guaranteed drop from Crota on each of your characters instead of just once per week per account.
