Bungie is already working on at least the second season, or second post-campaign ~whatever~ from Final Shape. I believe it was during the Lightfall Showcase, but somewhere along that time it was mentioned indirectly that Bungie is always 3 seasons ahead in terms of development.
9 months of potential content being generated at any given time, and we're starting a new season in 2 weeks. Season 22 is already done, and waiting for launch with some minor polishing work being done to it between now and then.
Any suggestions to take a break now is wasted. It's already done.

Rumour is there are no seasons in final shape, & no expansion in 2025 so they can focus on releasing marathon.

Still one campaign and raid at minimum then + Season 23 to remain, 6 months of employee pay to go to at least.

I still can't see them not dipping into the seasonal pockets, but it does make sense in every way other than monetary.

We have seen zero leaks for the seasons or anything post Final Shape which is odd. It makes a lot of us wonder if there is even a full year of seasonal content with the Final Shape. It very well could be the Final Shape DLC and done. That's what I think it is.
