Bungie Classic: Drag out a boss encounter by making the boss a bullet sponge because the mechanics are weak
Ahhhh yes, the one thing I'd say 98% of players have always agreed on throughout the life of Destiny (namely D2... yall running out of ideas for mechanics huh? Hit up some REAL mmo devs for some ideas)

Maybe because the elitist complained you could 1 phase Nazeric with Contest on So they said "We will give them bosses" Lorewise though,Wizards typically don't have much health, they rely on there magic and brute force protection from Knights and Ogres to survive ,but maybe the Traveler gave them there own fragment that increases there health by 500% and gives them a ohk moth ability -
Leave it to bungie to make the most beautiful dungeon in the game, with loot to match, and then ABSOLUTELY -blam!- ON IT with one stupid decision. giving up on this dungeon until the health is nerfed. I dont need that armor set enough to sit in a single activity for 8 hours.
-
No. You’re wrong……. The real question is. Why the **** does a dungeon boss have MORE health than a raid boss???
-
solo flawless, raid boss has a health of 16.7 million HP, like spire was tanky annoyingly, before that what, 5-6 million hp for previous dungeon bosses. petition to swap solo flawless triumph names with shattered throne. "seriously, never again"
-
You can 1/2 phase them On master my 1st time we almost 2 phase her Why a rank 11 complaining like a new player ?
-
The mechanics for GotD are actually pretty good imo. The boss health thing is a bit excessive though. Personally, I think that a decently skilled player should be able to reliably 4 phase a dungeon boss solo, maybe 3 phase if you are totally optimized with the most meta builds. Any more than 4 damage phases feels a bit tedious.
-
I've been trying to solo it for days now I got the last boss too the last little bit of health only to deposit the wrong symbol. Trying to remember that -blam!- for 8+ damage phases solo is a$$. I'm so discouraged because I get so -blam!- close. The second boss is cake now. The final feels like a drawn out bs of an encounter.

Editado por Oftly: 5/30/2023 11:21:46 PMTedious=Challenging According to Bungie Edit: I like the mechanics, but the health is clearly inflated. You can't have Super long mechanics and that much health. That's called a Raid lol.
-
I’m just wondering when they are going to stop designing every encounter in the game to be optimized around well
-
There’s 5 things bungie can do to make an activity harder 1) increase boss health 2) more adds 3) more difficult mechanics 4) power cap 5) timer They chose to go with more boss health this time
-
The mechanics aren't weak, the bosses just have too much hp
-
The biggest problem is until you are 1830 with your artifact level you are under leveled
-
Because bungie caters to the streamers and the top 10%
-
I thought the mechanics were relatively seamless and fun. The health prob needs to be brought in line with other Dungeon Bosses, but other than that it's a nice boss encounter.
-
Cause streamers asked for more difficulty.
-
Mechanics are fine but the health bars suck. The final boss is at 1810 so you can’t deal optimal damage until you’re +21 on the artifact at 1831 id argue against anyone that reply’s skill issue that grinding artifact levels isn’t a skill. The boss shouldn’t have raid boss health.
-
The people they’re getting their feedback from have no life, so they assume we all don’t have a life.
-
My god the whining It never stops - you can 1 shot the shield with arby - it has a SIGNIFICANTLY longer damage phase than any other recent boss like in spire or duality - it’s the first dungeon boss with multiple, utterly protected safe zones to regen health and take a break from fire, just step in the water - it has a decent amount of add density so that you can keep devour, cure, or restoration proced continuously while also farming orbs for constant supers.
-
Died after a full hour in the final boss room yesterday, probably did 8-10 damage rotation and had 12.8 mil damage, she probably had a million of so health left even still, a tad excessive in my opinion
-
Listen, you're wrong... Gladd is wrong, Salt is wrong... but it doesn't matter because you're probably going to get your way. I don't think anything should change, on the record. Real mmos? What have you played? In FF14 when new dungeons are released sometimes it takes weeks... months for 1 person to solo some of those dungeons and btw, those dungeons... often have advanced contest mode... some gear & boons don't work & you can't overlevel it. Is that what you want?
-
Just cheese it. Screw 'em. I cheesed it today and got the exotic 🤣 🤣 🤣
-
She has like 13 million health
-
Don't you mean why do recent raid booses have strike boss level health. I'm pretty sure the new dungeon boss has more health than Nezarec so really it's the raid booses that need more health.
-
I thought the bosses had too much health on the blind run, but now I disagree. People are killing them solo in 4/5 phases with just a heavy and whatever abilities are at their disposal, no particularly unique strategies. Scale that up to a 3-player fireteam and that's a 2-3 phase, which is completely reasonable. We are still in week one and not everyone has figured out what the best setups are. Saying X enemy has Y amount of health is meaningless without damage numbers for comparison. Different enemies will show different damage numbers - just go into Gambit for the most obvious example. What should be compared is how many shots of the same weapon it would take, rather than raw HP values. Using some numbers I pulled from videos of damage phases, Leviathan's Breath does about 85k at base to Nezarec on a precision hit, and 101k to Simmumah i.e. the Dungeon boss has the same amount of health but takes ~20% more damage.
-
Every time a new dungeon comes out people complain about boss health, than 2 weeks later consistently one phase them. Only dungeon boss with unreasonable health is the harpy boss in spire. They just copied and pasted the whole thing. Health included apparently
-
Mechanics are weak? This post is weak. Have you even played the dungeon or are you just parroting streamers in an attempt to make yourself feel important? Zero out of 10 for intelligence.
