Iron Banana
Well, it's that time of the season again. Time for me to break out the ole windbag and start whingeing and moaning like the insufferable Karen that I am about the state of how miserable and insufferable Iron Banner is and your matchmaking sucks and this quest is more excruciating than a root canal sans lidocaine and do you even play your own game?
Now that 95% of the chronically online forum lords have quit reading and are already 250 words deep into whingeing in the comments, what I actually want to say is holy -blam!-, Bungo. This was, genuinely, the best Iron Banner experience I have had since Season of Opulence. I am blown away by how balanced and fair the lobbies are, how little latency has impacted my experience (there have been moments, but nothing like it was last season), and how much fun it's been. I've played dozens of games and it's been a geniune blast. The sandbox may be full of some genuinely irritatingly busted crap right now (re: The Immortal (Adept), Threadlings, etc), but even with all of that, I've had a lot of fun with it this week. Way more fun than I had anticipated. Whatever it is you're doing with Matchmaking and Connections, keep at it. It's working.

4 RespuestasI've run iron banner all week long by myself, always going for the objective. This often leads to the game being lost, because apparently the majority of the time my teammates never want to actually win the match. They'll stay in one location and don't appear to want to help other than taking shots from a distance. That's okay, though. Me being the one that actually does all the work in any match most often lead to me getting the highest k/d at the end. I want to actually win, but the majority of times the other people on my side don't. Apart from that aspect, I've also noticed some people on either side being idle. A lot of the time there's also been crazy sessions of laggy games. Seeing the enemy teleport around, or getting shot through walls, dying to an unknown misadventure, or mysteriously getting killed out of the blue after a Titan popped their super and I wasn't even in their path of destruction.

I’ve had fun. Been on both sides of a few mercy games, but I’ve been on both sides of some much closer matches more frequently. No bad lagging issues so far.

Gotta admit, I've had some fun this time around. I definitely ain't no PvP'r and usually avoid it like the plague but I have found this IB not too bad. Of course other people's experiences may be different to mine and I get it if they ain't enjoying it, so to them I'd like to say TOO BAD. it's one week and one game mode.

1 RespuestaYour not allowed to have fun. They will bring back steam rolling cbmm lobbies that are one sided just give it time. The tryhards want they're easy wins again. Just like they wanted you to grind patrols until your eyes bleed and have hero nightfall play like a legendary one and legendary like master and no doubt in my mind GMs will look like some deformed creature from the black lagoon. I can't wait to see the outrage. 😆 What a bad joke.
