There is no possible way to give dark souls a worse name.

Because your Hunter is freshly made they are just barely above the current minimum Light Level, don’t have much in the way of armor that can use the variety of Mods that would grant you a better survival rate and lacks access to a variety of Subclass options. If your character had a Light Level closer to the Soft Cap, had a full suite of Legendary Armor with a functional build from Mod selection, and had access to a wider selection of Subclass Aspects and Fragments the game would be [i]vastly[/i] easier (so much so that the devs are actually making changes to the game in the next Season to make it [i]more[/i] difficult). You just need to play the game more to obtain the gear and abilities to make the game more manageable. (΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)
