Yeah…got kicked out of an iron banner game and then immediately got suspended for half and hour.
-
PvE game. PvP is an afterthought.
-
It’s sbmm’s fault. It prioritizes skill over connection. Hello 2+kd players, goodbye 10 ping…
-
I played 40 matches and had 4 matches that the lag was awful but the other 36 matches were great.

This has always been the case; they're more like the Walmart of video game developers, but this season has been exceptionally hilariously poor.

Do you know what the single biggest cause of lag in pvp most likely is? Fireteam. Just think about it logically. Do you really think fireteam in Destiny are all neighbors? I doubt it. People meet other people in game or in clan and they just group together based on skill and need. One might be on the upper east coast, one might be in Texas, one might be in London, etc. What is Bungie supposed to do with that? They can't say that's the issue, because that would be seen as anti -fireteam. It also perfectly explains why this IB I encounter so much lag while last IB I saw nothing worth complaining about in freelance. This is why I stay in freelance when possible. The truth is, I can't imagine playing any more IB without freelance. Last IB I had a resurgence in my liking of pvp and have been playing more. This IB I just can't imagine the next one. I don't mind losing and I don't mind doing poorly as long as my shots are registering, but this week my guns slide around the screen like there is nobody there and then all of the sudden a person is punching me. Or I die without ever hearing a shot.

Try playing in the uk after midnight... Jesus it’s unplayable

Lag is like slow motion. Just like the one you see in a slow-mo movie like The Matrix where Neo could dodge bullets. In gaming, they call it Bullet-time. That’s Bungie’s idea of an Action MMO game with this networking. Hahahahahahaha! That’s Bullet-time for you, D2 style! Hahahahahahaha! Action MMO in slow-mo! Hahahahahahaha!
-
I recently have been grinding IB to guild my title and its a pain. I am average at crucible, but I know i can handle my own in a firefight. I have found some matches are more consistant than others where you can do damage to your opponent and win, you go on a streak, then couple of matches later, same opponent, just tanks damage, laggy kills and you will lose the match and it will be a snowball from there.

It’s actually insane anyone saw the pvp connection in this game and said yes reducing lag should be the lowest priority in matchmaking. I don’t understand how a team can make so many bad decisions again and again and not be sacked, Bungie’s HR team needs to implement some performance appraisals lmao.
-
There is some serious lag, I dunno why it is but when iron banner comes around I start losing gunfights I never would have before. Later discovered its the crap “new” matchmaking system they implemented thats matching me against these teleporting players or players a second in the future from me. Really wish bungo would stop trying to “fix” or “add” things. They literally created the worst crucible experience since the first year of destiny.
-
It was okayish until about last summer when they decided to “make it better”. Then they buried the needle into straight trash and keep finding ways every month to progress further into trash. All in the name of “making quickplay & IB more approachable”. Thats been my experience so far.

Editado por Rain: 2/4/2023 6:51:26 AMHow anyone can prioritize skill over connection in this game... And it's a vicious cycle. People leave due to the terrible matchmaking and lag and the players that they are targeting via this matchmaking don't play enough to make up the numbers of those who left. Less players then translates into more lag and poorer matchmaking. Bungie than pulls a genius move and doubles down on sbmm by consolidating the playlists 🤦♂️
-
-blam!- Crossplay needs to be optional.
-
Internet skill issue.
-
See what u did there hehe
-
I mean, people keep playing it. There are actually PvP mains who just play the worst connections in AAA gaming and are proud of it. I’ll never understand why. And I’ll never play PvP in Destiny. It’s just not fun.
-
It’s called SBMM.
-
PVE is no better, *Blink *Blink 'Now you see them, now you don't ' "Contacting Destiny Severs"
-
True and real. Too bad capitalism is Bungies middle name and they do not give a flying #### about player experience as long as the $ keeps flowing.
-
Don't know why I gave them my money for lightfall lol
-
The scrolls pulse with mysterious light.
-
As long as destiny is profitable bungie will not spend a dime that isn’t absolutely necessary. And if player population drops too low they will just shut it down and move on. Its a cash cow now and is expendable if the cash stops flowing

Editado por Tru-Zrue: 2/4/2023 4:34:46 PMIdk enough about d2 pvp to say that but the title is pretty good 🤣. Next twab they’ll take pvp out completely and call the new thing “lag”.
-
Sounds like you’re saying pvp is ruining lag😅
