Here's an idea
There are only so many ghosts, so, only so many players
If there's more players than ghosts
We should use competitive play to determine the "top 100" sort of situation, only on a much larger scale, everyone qualifying earns the privilege of being considered one of the canonical guardians each character mentions from time to time
We could also do a similar thing in PvE to determine those left out as the canonical guardians that are "studying" the darkness through usage of it
I for one think the community could do this ourselves if Bungie liked the idea

1 RespuestaWe actually don’t know how many ghosts were created at the Collapse or how many still haven’t found their guardian. Every player is supposed to think they’re the canonical main character that goes through every campaign, so this event would completely ruin the immersion for a lot of players.
