I disagree; Mara might be an egotistical prima donna but her past actions have shown her to loyal.

Editado por jhermannITJ: 1/22/2023 9:01:24 PMI disagree, all of her actions have been for her own benefit and she's been methodically setting us up the entire time. Conflicts w the Vex... her. The Red War... her. Everything has been by her design. To fuel the tribute. She's the enemy, and she's about to destroy the Vanguard.

Considering Mara Sov ended up as one of the instrumental figures standing up against the Witness in the Dark Future timeline and the Exo Stranger trusts her, I’d highly doubt a betrayal from Mara is coming. There’s been no evidence pointing towards that conclusion. What we have seen though is an evolution from a Mara who cut herself off from feeling for the greater good now beginning to weigh the repercussions of her actions. She knew Uldren would die in Forsaken, even allowing some anger towards us to slip through her mask, but even then she planned for Uldren, Lightbearer to be a weapon she could wield, because she saw Guardians as tools. Yet meeting Crow ended up reminding her too much of who Uldren was, to the point where she began thinking she might mend her relationship with her brother through him. The story of Mara is someone who has played chessmaster for so long they thought themselves disconnected from the pieces they played, only to realise they had come to care for the pawns.

I don’t tbink any timeline has shown Mara to be problematic. She’s pretty self-serving but she’s not gonna try to get us killed.
I don’t tbink any timeline has shown Mara to be problematic. She’s pretty self-serving but she’s not gonna try to get us killed.
Yeah. Shes extremely selfish and only does anything for her own gain and I would think keeping us on side is extremely beneficial for her

People forget that Ikora and her Hidden work together with Mara pretty frequently lmao. Regardless of how abrasive she can be, Mara is a straight up ally.

Editado por jhermannITJ: 1/22/2023 9:21:10 PMShe is, but not Mara... who we think is Mara. Mara might be dead, might have been dead the 1st time we met her in D1. Give me any specific example... I'll be able to explain it and give references both in game, and the corresponding lore. This IS a theory of mine, so I may very well be wrong... but I'm telling you it tracks. Edit: I think Mara is still alive btw, and when we meet her... that will expose her doppelganger and reveal the entire sham of Destiny essentially.

That sounds less like theory and more like complete crackpipe headcanon.

Editado por jhermannITJ: 1/22/2023 9:25:04 PMIf you want to offer substance rather than insults I'll hear it 😇👍💠. But otherwise, nothing you've said is relevant. Broad sweeping assumptions based on nothing.... Have fun.
-
Nothing you’re saying is relevant either. It’s really tryhardy headcanon.
-
No it is, and if you have a particular point of contention I'll explain it, but you don't. Just a dismissal rooted in nothing.... Actually, I probably won't explain it... to you. But if anyone else wants to talk shop in regards to lore and have a real conversation, I'm down 😇👍💠. This ain't worth my time. You're not worth my time, sry.

That’s great. Have fun with the fan fiction dawg.

I've been pretty accurate on all my predictions so far, mechanics and lore... but okay. I predicted grappling hooks and strand a very long time ago... Caydes death... the list so long. But as said, I'll talk to someone else about it.

Grappling hooks and the death of an important character? Wow. What incredible predictions that NOBODY could have ever seen coming lmao. Again, have fun with the drugs dawg.
