Thoughts on Competitive Crucible (Season 19)

1. Rift has no place in competitive gameplay (elimination would be far more suiting). 2. Players should not be penalized for teammates leaving in a competitive setting. This has been an issue for a long time, but is even worse with "promotional series" being a thing. It's unfathomable that players lose glory because their teammate(s) either quit the match or lost connection. 3. Showdown is okay, but again, elimination would be far more suiting in the competitive scene. 4. SBMM, as it stands, is cancerous to the competitive scene in Destiny 2. 5. The placement matches don't seem to abide by any of the 7 matches you complete, it quite honestly feels like it's pulling your rank out of a hat. Overall, I'm really not sure I'll be participating in much competitive crucible with how everything currently stands. It's really sad to see just how out of touch the developers of the PvP aspect of the game seem to be from the community, and how it seems the outcries from PvP players for years have fallen on deaf ears. Sad times in the PvP world of Destiny 2...hopefully things can improve, but it's not looking good. **Edit: can a moderator please move this post to the D2 feedback section? I'm currently unable to post in the Destiny 2 feedback section (says I need to be a certain light level or reach the tower for the first time) even though I have been playing for years, reaching pinnacle cap the last few seasons. Please and thank you.
