I only saw ONE thing that entire time that either didn't GROW out of the ground....or was BUILT with stuff that grew out of the ground. It was a metal barn and grain silo WAY off in the distance. Oh, and because it was so flat? You literally had an unobstructed line of sight from horizon to horizon. The job was great. But I knew myself well enough to accept that I would have lost my mind if I'd tried to live there. I'm too much of a city/suburb dweller.....

My dad lived there for a time. There was a lot of snow, wind, and corn. Not much else. Not even good work, which is why he left quickly.
