Make more hard world bosses that reward good

Make exploring more fun and entertaining by adding more tough bosses that cant be dealt with alone. Basically make another escalation protocol but for all maps. Have it drop unique gear so we can bring it in crucible or the tower and show off.

    • Remember when you were on patrol and then you hear the enemies are attacking each other, then it was just mayhem for a few minutes.. Now imagine that was just the norm while out on patrol and x10 enemies attacking each other. We need patrols to be absolutely crazy and surprising.. Everything is so predictable after running it a couple of times

        • Man, back in D1 there were places in the patrol where if you go deep in a section of a map, you’d then see ‘??’ Enemies. It’s sucks that patrols haven’t provided an interesting concept in a while.

          • This is an excellent idea. Once an hour, a countdown appears on a random patrol zone. This is a special zone that can have up to 12 guardians (we know it can be done- I did a few raids and Nightfalls that way!) It prioritizes filling every slot in the zone in the last few minutes. Then it's just a straight up boss fight. Large health, no immune shields, chaos ensues, get an exotic if you beat it in time. I'd love that.

            • Maybe this might have taken place when Activision was around, but it's been 4 years and destiny has barely moved forward since this business went on their own. They can barely handle the game as it is and you are asking them to put some effort into a game they don't care about anymore. It's safe to say they are ready to drop this mess they created so they can put all their attention on Matter which is said to release in 2025. So what, 2 more years of 1 whopping expansion each year, of course, that is an exaggeration knowing without Activision Forsaken wouldn't have ever taken place. That is the most work ever to be done between D1/D2 and I'm sure it was Activision that provided most of the resources, meaning manpower to get it done. Oh, almost forgot, and the joy of 2 more years of seasonal content that does absolutely nothing at all to move this game forward nor improve the experience playing the game 👍

              • I remember the first time I played D1. I was roaming around the Cosmodrome, having no idea where I was going, and ended up going down some stairs into a dark place. Next thing I know, I’m dead. Another time, while exploring a new space on Venus, I see a bunch of people, who are standing on some circular plates, shooting a bunch of vex. So I go up this hill to see what’s happening. Next thing I know, I’m dead. I’m both cases, after some initial confusion, all I knew for sure was that I needed to level up so I could come back and kill the baddies. Needless to say, I agree with your post.

                I want the character Taniks to be more meaningful than just a “boss” that most players don’t know anything about, other than he’s just a meme. Make him stalk you in the patrol world like Stalker in Warframe. Now that would be cool. And since he canonically keeps coming back, this would be a neat way to see him come back to specifically [b]hunt you down[/b]. Make the event rare and completely random, and target one player specifically (not as a Fireteam, it won’t be as impactful). But a group of people can swarm in and help the player being targeted. Imagine your screen flashing red and you hear menacing laughter as a shadow overcomes you, with text at the bottom stating, “Taniks is hunting you…” Make it gritty, make it spooky. Make patrols more exciting. Also, make him potentially difficult af and drop his freaking cloak that I want back from D1.

                    • Something like this would help give people a reason to stay engaged with the game. There's a lot of directions they could take this in and encounters or events that took more than one player to complete would go well with the in game lfg that's coming out.

                    • Elected patrol difficulty and bosses would be fun. More roaming large bosses and some ones you have to summon and hunt for. I liked the Rising Archon patrol in D1 and really wish there had been a boss level if you got back to the old Savathun temple in the Throne World. You travel all the way back down there for nothing. A simple or complicated boss with some sort of unique mod or ghost shell would be fun.

                      I think this ties in well with the requests of tiered difficulty. A selectable difficulty for patrols would be good as it’s optional. I say this because I remember fresh blueberries getting obliterated by the giant taken boss in the cosmodrome that they couldn’t even damage lol Edit in D1

Some people got sour grinding for it and left the game. So now they just sell them. You don’t realize this but they are selling you loot. It’s not a reward. You have to buy it first.🤣 There are two types of gamers here. One likes to show off, like you said, and prefers they are the only ones that gets the good loot. In this community, they are known as the elitist. And the others that just wants to have fun and experience the game like a videogame, and not a job. These are the core population that made this community great. This group is no longer playing this broken and empty game. They’ve left the game for good because they know the game is broken and empty.

                          Yellow bar world bosses in d1 were waaaaaayyyy tougher. The cabal centurion and invisible vex Minotaur on d1 Mars were beasts to tackle on your own before they timed out. They used to drop legendaries too, back when getting a legendary drop felt awesome and there were great world drop weapons/exotics (baring legendary engrams dropping blues occasionally of course 😂)
