At least it’s Shaw and not Crow. If it was the latter then I’d repeatedly have my character jump in the water. At least being repeatedly resurrected would be better than listening to that j@ck 0!f spill his dramatic nuisances.

Destiny is just one of those games where if you show up late to the party, you're gonna be lost in the sauce with a mountain of crap towering over you. Your only hope is that you find someone who has been in this game for a good while that is willing and able to help explain the hamster wheel and get you going.

I re-played it in S17 & it was horrible

Shaw is the most lack luster voice actor in Destiny history. Very poor decision having him introduce new players to the game. The who New Light experience needs to be redone. If it were me I would have -blam!- like one mission where you have unlimited super so they can get experience using the super and it would be entertaining and I would resign the entirety of the exploration of the Cosmodrone. Heck, have the missions spread out across multiple planets. On my Hunter I have the New Light quest stuck on my character cause for some reason you cannot delete it what so ever and I been on like step 13 or whatever for like a year cause I can't stand the thought of having to actually do it.
