When you enabled cross save you made the Xbox the main platform, this means that your Xbox characters will appear on every linked platform including PlayStation. Don't worry as your PlayStation characters have not been deleted they are just inactive. In order to fix this you will have to disable Cross save, this will means that the characters will return to their original platforms so you will be able to find them on your PlayStation & your Xbox will will keep its 1 brand new character. When you disable Cross Save you will need to wait 90 days before being able to re-enable it as this is a policy Bungie enforces due to previous fraudulent use of Cross Save.

I tried to deactivate cross save and it said my PlayStation authentication had 1 error that needs to be resolved. I click on it and it says: cross save cannot be unlinked for 4 days because you've purchased silver on your PlayStation network account recently

Yeah so that's the other cooldown, in an effort to prevent fraud there is a additional 90 day cooldown from when you purchased silver. You will need to wait the 4 days and then you should be able to disable Cross Save.

OK, I'll hold off grinding for 4 days and hopefully everything will be resolved. I'm not even gonna attempt the cross save again. I'm not too tech savey so I'll stick to my one platform on ps5. Thank u for ur help! I really do appreciate it
