Crafted weapons need persistent levels (highest on account)

I see so many people looking at crafted weapons and not seeing the issue with having suggestions like double perk slots or permanent enhanced perks. let me break it down why this is bad and why BUNGIE need to add persistent levels on the account for patterns instead. Double perk weapons create major power creep, it not only renders NF loot redundant, and people who say it wont dont understand that, world loot drops and seasonal drops, there are weapons that if they offered 2 perk columns it can be better than what a NF offers as an alternative (not every NF weapon is a godly weapon) imagine being able to craft an Austringer with 3-4 perks available........ might as well make other handcannons useless. 2 perk columns would also render ANY need to farm for vanguard ranks because again, not every weapon they offer is "good" and alternatives exist and chances are alternatives will be added that will exceed some pre existing weapons from strike pool. You would also render 2 perk column weapons from seasonal activities useless. 2 perk column crafting just creeps into too many domains of the looting system that D2 already offers. Permanent perks imo is the worst idea ive seen proposed, let me put it this way, imagine if masterworking your armour gave you permanent +2 stats on that associated "gear set" so if you were to ever retrieve it again from a drop (like exotics) it would be there to use but without the added cost of masterworking, thats what permanent perks would do. you basically would render ANY activity that offers said resources (including red frames) useless once you obtain every perk in a permanent capacity. With the 2 issues above explained, let me get down to why persistent levels need to exist and why imo its actually the better option going forward, having a level tied to the frame in the enclave and not tied to the "crafted weapon at that time" means as a player, you can if so be it craft +1 of any weapon (so long you have it up to level 20 for the pattern) and get access to all perks available on the 2nd and so many versions after, you would still pay the cost to slot said perks but this way the resources stay relevant, it doesnt become a chore to level more than one weapon (and yes many players do this because of the costs involved with crafting) Bungie for the love of god, MAKE CRAFTED WEAPON LEVELS PERSISTENT.

[/quote] I'm failing to understand how multiple perk columns on crafted weapons would be power creeping anything. Since you can still only use 1 perk per column, there's not really any difference between having 1 gun with multiple selectable perks and 2 guns with those columns separated Convenience creep maybe
