No.
Its a playlist with SBMM. Where you have people who are trying to undermine/game the MM to protect inflated stats....and Bungie is putting a stop to it.

Yes, change the entire system to cater to a small handful of people that ego their own stats. Thank you for continuously disregarding common sense.
-
Ima be honest The connection feels better now to me
-
Yeah. I’m skeptical of those complaining about connections unless they are extreme outliers in terms of skill, or are in a location that has chronic connection quality problem. Some parts of Europe seem to constantly struggle with this.
-
Dude seriously, do you even play pvp? I mean between the cross play connections issue, stacked players manipulating the SBMM, game putting you into losing games with other team full super and heavy. I mean pvp is barely surviving, I’m fine with SBMM but give us Freelance so the connections can’t be manipulated as well. If you haven’t experienced these frustrations in the game mode, check my time played and I can tell you there’s been a massive decline in all aspects and all this does is push the few left away. How can you penalise ppl for leaving when the game itself is busted and needs massive time invested? I quit a game yesterday because 3 others did before me, I got a notification about leaving penalties and then it puts me back into the game I left with a new 3 ppl (not full team just us 4) Am I expected to get slaughtered and have a negative experience because of this?
-
I'm convinced KG doesn't play Destiny, there isn't good enough wifi under the bridge where he resides.
-
I follow the engagement numbers. Everyone else has a subjective pov, and most have an agenda.
-
"How can you penalise ppl for leaving when the game itself is busted and needs massive time invested?" The answer whether you like it or don't. Is Bungie need accurate data and people backing out of games isn't helpful to that gathering process. That being said........ "Am I expected to get slaughtered and have a negative experience because of this?" No. I would expect you to either accept taking the losses you do get. Or do the smarter thing and voice your protest by simply......not playing this shiny turd called PvP.
-
Spoken like a true dip sh!t lol
-
It’s a casual playlist. No need to blacklist/penalize someone for leaving a casual environment. Shouldn’t matter the reason. There is zero incentive, rewards or anything that warrants pursuit. So why should Someone be penalized if there is nothing to gain. If someone is worried about having a full team, go play competitive, where the people playing are there to get better and improve and should be penalized for quitting early on their team. Control is not competitive, and should NOT be treated as such.
-
There is zero incentive, rewards or anything that warrants pursuit. .
What? You don’t consider deleting the same exact SMG from the postmaster 20 times to be an absolutely joy?
-
All the more reason for people not to quit and ruin things for others. That door swings both ways.
-
Expecting that from someone playing a FPS is like wishing to win the lottery. No one is thinking about someone else. Why should they? Zero rewards/incentives or pursuits. It’s a casual playlist, just like strikes. What’s the difference, why isn’t leaving strikes early penalized? Aren’t you effecting someone else’s enjoyment? Double standard BS.
-
Like he said. Control was not a casual playlist. It was a predatory one where high skill players exploited non-competitive matchups against lower skilled players for their own enjoyment. Driving those players out of the game, and likely turning Crucible into a money-loser for Bungie. Bungie is now doing what is necessary to create the best conditions for the greatest number of players. Which is to create a playlist where everyone gets competitive matchup for their level of skill.
-
There is no casual playlist. Bungie and the community saw to that. The sooner people realize that the better.
-
Unfortunately they have kept LBMM in the MM programming. So it's still kind of a mess. Bungie putting a stop to quitters just feels like a way for them to obtain more accurate data instead of dealing with sore losers who can't take an L from time to time.
-
It’s probably both.
-
More than likely. I've still seen a constant set of complaints in regards to badly balanced lobbies.
-
A lot of people are just getting nit-picky because they don’t like SBMM. I had to listen to one content creator whine about being on a team of six randoms going up against two three man teams. At that level of play? That’s not unreasonable.
-
Stacks are inevitable. -blam!- about it won't change anything. Being sore about it won't either. A stack does not equal a stomp. A fact I proved when I was on a team of randos and we slammed that 6 stacks into the dirt. CCs get enough flack as it is. Sometimes it's justified and sometimes it's like "ooo oooo point blame dat way"
-
Agreed. But you have to admit that this kind of entitled whining will cause a lot of that hostility.
-
Entitled whining from the majority of the low skill playerbase is why the game is in such a bad state… any skill gap has been eroded…. Can’t even jump and shoot anymore, endgame has been turned into a joke… the community needs to look at themselves
-
You can see it that way. But at the end of the day, this is a business. Bungie is trying to make money, and if they can’t translate high skill into more money for their Bottomline? It’s of no value to them. While, OTOH, there are lots more average-to-low skill players out there than there are elites. So it is a bad business model to let those elites demand/create conditions that chase everyone else out of the game.
-
Or they can could actually put effort in as a opposed to demanding everything purely because they paid for the game I know that’s a strange concept in this day and age …. Don’t know what happened to the concept of working hard for something
-
Or high skill players could put in effort and play against people who can actually beat them. I find it amazing how people demand that other people tolerate conditions that they insist are unacceptable for themselves.
-
No one has a problem playing people of their skill in a meaningful ranked mode … It’s the problems that come with it that are the issues Mainly connection
