My final point on the Div conversation.

At this point I think its time to really look at divinity and how changing it could drastically alter things as it has become so necessary across most endgame pve, and the thing is we have been here before. This game always had that problem with guns that could be a little bit too much. Look at what happened when they brought Whisper of the worm back into the game. It became the GO TO weapon for boss dps and you could beat Calus in a single plate with 4 guardians shooting at him with that gun. Like div it was essentially BAKED into how raid encounters were made, that is until they took away its infinite ammo. When this was taken away it was no longer the go too heavy and it gave the game one of the biggest of face lifts, After that came the two year long meta that was mountaintop and recluse, which in my opinion invalidated most of year threes content because it became too easy and even more "brain dead" then shooting a big div bubble. Worst part about it was that unless you were good enough to reach certain tiers in comp, you would never be able to get either of those weapons, which brought out the worst of the gatekeeping ive ever seen. However unlike those two meta's Div's problem is a bit different. It would create a lot of problems that bungie would have to fix, they would have to change all the health pools of bosses to reflect this change, they would also have to alter all the other abilities in the game that also grant that 30% debuff. It creates a huge problem for bungie that would not come right away, its likely that this would not come until Lightfall. In my opinion, It would be good to see changes come to the gun, as it would allow bungie a lot of creative wiggle room when it comes to encounters in raids. The same could be said for well, I love the super and its really -blam!- good but sometimes id like to use something OTHER than well in endgame content. I would rather bungie be able to create a variety of good content that did not require Div to make items less of a bullet sponge. In that regard it may even effect the difficulty of grandmaster nightfalls to the point where some will be actually doable. Looking at you tank room in the proving grounds.
