Glaives, a general concern and wondering

Recently I saw a post about glaive being to overturned in pvp, while I'm not fully agreeing with this, there are some points that need to be addressed before we have something worse then Omni, LoW, Prometheus (which while bad was fun for the 2 days it lasted), and felwinters lie. Glaives have been in a tough spot since release, the reason for this being that Bungie knows they are playing with fire. When you play with fire your going to get burnt. The very first problem and main one we come across in pvp is the shield, the shield when being used gives a full 180 degrees coverage of 70% damage reduction! That's more then most supers! This although has a price and is held back by glaives awful hit detection, either hit and no shield energy or don't hit at all and die is pretty much how it goes. Now some f***er in the comments is gonna peak at my profile and see I am now using jotunn, I just got the exotic bro get off my a**. Back to the main topic, if glaives hit detection is fixed we have a now a unstoppable force of a special that can invalidate almost all special weapons, primaries and some more. The only way to counter them is melee, stasis, wave frame, witherhoard, and divinity (lmaoo not used unless with that arc buddy build). Now they maybe be slow firing and not as much as a threat at longer range, but that doesn't matter, there team can shoot for them using him as a shield. There also the problem of unstoppable force, after blocking, your next shot is essentially super charged, making it do a lot more damage. Now everybody may be saying, "Actually, *snort* glaive projectiles are so slow their easy to dodge even at mid range,* first, go get a life, second NO. Impulse amplifier makes glaives projectiles very very fast, making glaives much more of a threat at farther ranges. If stacked up with even more numerous things in the game, they will become a problem, and an ugly one at that.

  • Mid-long range counters them because they cant hit you. Close range counters them with shotgun melee. They are only good at a very specific range. Its just people are too used to win 1v1 's at that range without a hard counter. You dont see them complaining about a citans titan with a sniper either...and that has 100% damage resist and more damage per shot at ANY range. Everyone's logic is... I DONT KNOW HOW TO COUNTER IT AND DONT WANT TO LEARN...SO NERF IT. Which is just dumb. Because glaives are the easiest special weapons to counter.
