When an expansion comes out, just charge me the full price out the gate. The expansion, seasons, dungeons, raids, trials, events - all of it. One price to pay. Then put all the loot the team make for this content & make it rewards for PLAYING THE GAME!
-
This is why elden ring destroyed every other poplar game. ZERO MT I love when shitty developers get pissed people arent buying their inflated cosmetics and rehashed titles.
-
Another kids not understanding cosmetics shop in games in 2022 This is just getting sad .... Entitlement in 2022 is way off the chart
-
If a company needs mtx to stay afloat as some of these people claim, even after congratulating themselves on "over 1m preorders", then the game just flat out isn't good enough on its own.
-
Editado por sum12mezzwith: 5/23/2022 5:52:37 PMIn game content too hard. Why do you think there's apparently so much lore in the back story for this game but no where to be found in game plus they vault the hell out of this game. Bare minimum Maximum profit
-
Game cost for premium for an entire year $100 yet one armor set across 3 characters is $45. Nope I don't even think so. I have never paid extra for a single thing in Destiny nor any other game and I will not start EVER. I will stop playing games all together before I pay extra for what should be a reward in the game and should be included at the $100 especially no more than we actually get in actual new content.
-
It's called the deluxe edition. It's one price for everything for the year. Now, obviously this doesn't include the new event pass. But that is only for cosmetics and who cares about those?
-
Hey OP, have this https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/borderlands-3 It's free until May 26

What you describe is how a BUY TO PLAY title usually works. And SHOULD work. Bungie on the other hand went the greed route after the activision split and went full blown micro transaction gacha game while the entire game STILL IS a pay to play game. The f2p part is more like a demo. So why do they think they can have the cash shop and mtx's be the main focus? This is far from a f2p title. Lost ark, path of exile, warframe. To name a few examples. Those games can justify an mtx shop. Those titles are completely free and all the content is playable entirely without paying. A cash shop with a lot of stuff in it is fine and justified in those games. In D2, we pay 100 bucks per year for the content which essentially is a subscription. The extreme mtx focus on top of that shows you how scummy this company really is. Remember how easy it was to obtain literally everything from the eververse store by just playing the game in year 1? AND we were showered in bright dust to buy even more stuff. WITH Activision? Yea i remember. But hey, Activision was the problem right? Right?!?
-
Um…they do, every year.
-
..... uhm buy the deluxe edition
-
I thought that’s what’s been happening. Are the dungeons going. To be sold outside of that now?
-
I'm very confused lol. Besides bad looking armors the main stuff is included
-
Next up will be timegated paywalls!! Today you'll pay to see a taste of what you'll have to buy next week that'll tell you exactly what you'll be paying for the following week. Can't wait....
-
Just buy Elden Ring.
-
They really should just move to a subscription based service to avoid all the different pricing and owning different expansions and now dungeons. It would make everyone have access to the entire game.
-
I'm a little confused what is problem?
-
That's basically what the deluxe edition is whenever you buy the deluxe dlc each year. 1 price that includes the dlc + all seasons + dungeon/ect. All they are doing is chopping it up, so if you don't want to buy a season because it seems lame, but there is a dungeon that drops as part of the season. Then you can buy the dungeon instead of buying the season. That being said it's a bit of a rip off since I think seasons were like $10 and the dungeon alone is $20 when previously the dungeon was part of the season.
-
That would be really great.
-
“They’re just cosmetics!” Yeah, so was Recon from Halo 3, but remember the craze for it? It was rare, looked cool, and you had to earn it. It gave you no benefit other than made others kneel before you. Eververse pretty much destroys any possibility of Destiny having something like that. Something looks really cool? It’s in Eververse, no way to really earn it, forgotten, lame.

Reject guardian Return to Tenno

The sad thing is there was a point in D2 where you could realistically earn most of the stuff that was in the Eververse store. It felt rewarding and made you want to play even when there was hardly anything to do. Bungie low key even admitted that the store worked well when they told us the revenue from a single skin completely covered the dev costs of the zero hour mission, yet it's gotten so much worse. The problem is Bungie got a taste of MTX revenue and that became the priority. It's an issue that's infected modern gaming but, given how much money it generates, don't expect it to go anywhere soon. Now we have game content churned out at a pace that means much of it is just disposable filler, reskinned from previous iterations and never inteneded to last more than 12 months, season passes, event passes, standalone dungeon content (that includes weapons and exotics) and an ever growing catalogue of MTX, when we still don't even have basic things from D1 like proper strike-specific loot. The only real thing players can do about it is stop consuming it. That's literally the only thing that would make them stop. Don't hold your breath.
-
I don’t think you’d like the actual price tag of what you’re asking for…
-
My clan commander fervently disagrees and asked that you edit or delete this post.
-
Lol, let me throw more money at the screen. How long until we're buying weapons individually?
-
Completely agree dude. Luckily, I couldn't care less for cosmetics so it'll be a hard pass for me.
-
In return that it is "Games as a service" and they are being in contact with their community, Bungie shows an unprecedented ignorance, with the mentality of a tank.
