This has been in the game maybe since the Vex Mythoclast’s reintroduction back in s14; basically, Mythoclast has a delay between shooting and reloading that no other weapon (that I’m aware of) has. To test this, fire a stream of auto rifle bullets and spam the reload button in the middle of the stream. The auto rifle should reload, overriding the shooting. Now, try the same thing with Mythoclast. You will notice that this just staggers the shooting instead of overriding and reloading the gun. The bug has more impact than this fringe test, however. What this bug practically translates to is Mythoclast not being able to instantly reload after shooting. This puts its optimal reload speed behind other guns for no good reason and makes the reloading experience with it feel clunky. I wouldn’t say that this is trivial enough to leave unfixed, but this gun is, in my guesstimation, coded strangely due to its archetype, so maybe it’s more painful a fix than it seems. [b][u]Be mindful that I am NOT referring to the delay between the button press and the activation of an alt fire mode. Instead, I am describing an entirely unique issue to Mythoclast that causes a delay in activating a reload command (with the intention of putting bullets back into the magazine, mind you) and the Mythoclast actually reloading. Please refer to the test that I described to prove this delay’s existence, if you’re truly invested.[/u][/b] Firstly, this problem does not seem related to the alternate fire mode. No other alt fire weapon has this issue; Tarrabah is a great example, as it similarly cannot switch firing modes until fully charged but does not suffer a reload delay. You can even map the alt fire command in custom controls to be off the reload button (this guarantees no interference with the reload command and the alt fire command), yet the reload delay persists on Mythoclast. Secondly, this problem seems to be a Mythoclast-specific issue, as even normal fusion rifles can perform an instant reload mid charge, even mid burst, if the reload button is pressed.
