So, I do the bounty, I get through it all, I give the offering to go to the throne room, and if just doesn’t work. I jump into the portal and all I get for my trouble is I’m now stuck inside the machine. Can barely move, have to travel away and now I lost the offering. What the hell? Do I just have to do it all over again?

You didn't even get into the Throne room? You can do it on a different toon, your current one has cleared the bounty. No more offerings on it.
