I've already gone through the proper channels. This post isn't to try to get an appeal. This post is to see if anyone else has run into this issue and possibly to find out how not to run into this issue again.

To answer your question….your reinstalling had absolutely nothing to do with your ban. Bans are caused by running/using programs you shouldn’t be (even if not directly related to d2), using a recov or boosting service for various activities, or breaking the code of conduct.

I have a new computer. New new, not used by someone else. The only programs I have are the ones that came with the computer (minus the bloatware that I uninstalled already), Steam, Chrome, Discord, and Wondershare Filmora. The only games I have installed are Destiny 2 and Sea of Thieves. Nobody else has access to my account and I have 2FA enabled so no one will be able to gain access to it. It's just strange to me that I was playing fine, uninstalled, reinstalled, ran into a verifying files error, reinstalled again, and then was banned. It's hard for me to believe that the reason for the ban was anything other than something to do with that error.

And if it was an error, your appeal (not this post) will cause it to be overturned. You do realize that MANY people have had to reinstall the game for various reasons & not gotten banned….right? So it’s asinine that you think your reinstalling had anything to do with this. Plus, bans can be from something days, weeks, or even months prior. So what you were doing at the exact time of the ban is near irrelevant.
-
Which is why I made this post. To see if anyone else has had this issue.
-
And noone else has been banned from simply reinstalling. Time to move on now.

Forgive me for not allowing you to speak for everyone.
