Bungie, is it possible for you to respect the players time a bit more?

Let me throw you a scenario Bungie, and you tell me if this sounds fun. Play the same monotonous activity for hours, to get special versions of 2 weapons that never drop, that are apparently gated to drop on different days (why?!), and are also gating you from getting an exotic quest, which happen to be the only quests you have left to do... So you're stuck playing this activity because there's not really anything left to accomplish. Ya, this is about Come to Pass and Tarnation quest. Honestly, the above just doesn't seem worth it, but it happens all of the time. I don't like knowing and feeling that my time isn't being respected, if not deliberately wasted to what feels like artificially pumping up playtime. Every time I have come on to play Destiny this week I've come to this realization and just turned it off shortly after. There are so many activities in Destiny, why does there have to be such shittily designed quest grinds that focus on just a single activity? Bungie, variety is the spice of life, and you basically force it on us by swapping weapon metas and champion mods every season, but funnily enough, you don't enforce it when it comes to quests that rely on random drops with low rates. I like knowing there's a light at the end of the tunnel, I don't like wasting an uncertain amount of time for something I should be able to target and complete within a reasonable amount of time. You know, maybe a day or two, not weeks.
