OK. I'll help you figure this out. Please answer the following questions.
Ae you on pc?
Do you have any cheat engines for any other game?
English
-
Yes I'm on PC, and yes, I have cheat engines that I use for my singleplayer games.
-
So you either left it open woithout noticing or it remained loaded in memory even if you closed it (sometimes it happens).
-
I did not know about this second half about things remaining loaded in memory, that is ... genuinely horrifying for me to learn, honestly. I almost wonder if that's what happened and that makes it even more nerve wracking.
-
Debuggers in general, and above all pieces of software made for cheating/hacking (that is to say, made to hook into loading/loaded processes and memory) have a tendency of getting stuck under some conditions.
-
Is there any way to avoid or fix this problem in the future as someone with minimal computer knowledge? I don't want to risk a re-ban or a new account getting banned...
-
I’ll give you a very good example. I play gta with a trainer, risk of rain mod loaders, and modded Minecraft. If I ever go from any modded game to destiny I will literally shut my pc down and go get a drink. Then restart my pc and load up destiny. Obviously not loading the other trainers or any third party modding programs active either. Never been in trouble ever doing this method
-
Very simple fix PLAY ONLY D2 and cheat programs for other games will not be needed or present on your PC.
-
Always shut down your computer to ensure it's closed and it wipes the memory. The other person has more knowledge so I'll leave this for him to add to.
-
Thank you for your responses as well, I appreciate both of your willingness to help.
-
Easy fix; after you are done using cheats, reboot your PC; that'll make sure that the system memory gets wiped clean.
-
Alright, thank you so much for the tip. I really don't want to be lumped in with actual cheaters when I haven't done anything..
