Okay, boom. I downloaded Destiny 2 via Steam. Bought the legendary edition or whatever because my friend says it's worth it. Create a bungie account, and link my steam to it. Boom, start game. Error code chicken. How in the world am I disconnecting before the game even starts? No cutscenes, just "Destiny: Beyond Light; press enter to start" I press enter and watch it load about a minute or two before it pops up the chicken error code again. Deleted both steam and Destiny 2 to reinstall and STILL not be able to get into the game. Can't even get a refund since Steam doesn't refund promotional items. Smfh, I just want to play bro.

Chicken is a connection error. A couple things you can try first before digging further into network troubleshooting. If you're playing via wifi, switch to Ethernet and try the game to see if that resolves the issue. Shut down your computer. Go to your router and unplug it from power. If separate from your router, unplug your Internet modem/gateway from power as well. Leave these devices disconnected from power for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes reconnect power, power on the network and once up start your computer and try the game again. If you're running anti-virus and/or firewall software on your computer, try disabling/closing them as they could be blocking D2's network traffic. If you find this resolves your issue then you'll need to investigate your software's settings to allow D2 network traffic. If the above doesn't resolve the issue, then you'll need to go through the Network Troublehsooting Guide.
