As a community (especially pvp), what can we DO regarding cheaters in PvP? (besides reporting their profiles) The short answer is ---->NOTHING
There are occasions where legitimate players rarely succeed in beating cheaters, (thanks to stasis, 3peeking, etc.) but almost every single time we come across them, it is close to impossible beating them, and that ruins the experience for the players who truly desire to have fun.
It is truly sad, infuriating, and laughable to see what today's pvp (specially Trials) has become.
However, the million dollar question is: is Bungie TRULY doing something about this? Or at least trying to do something? We need to hear something from them, something that gives the PvP community hope for the near future.
I trust a lot of people have seen Lucky10p's video (link's above) regarding a supposed leak about an anti-cheat coming out later this year. In my personal oppinion, I'll believe it once I see it for real.
Who do you think is to blame for all of this? -> Bungie? The cheaters? Or both?
I made this post out of frustration, and I also hope I spoke for the entirety of the PvP community that feels the same way I do.
Well, after s15's launch, it is worth recognizing the 180 degree turn Bungie made with trials (except for the flawless matchmaking pool), and also the addition of BattleEye; the game mode has felt overall smoother and more playable than when it first came out over a year ago.
Unfortunately, these changes have arrived 5 seasons later, and a considerable amount of players has been lost, but hopefully, they'll return once they truly see the somehow renewed trials experience and reward system.
