Unless it pertains to the real world, it shouldn’t be a thing, full stop. The only defense that I’ve seen come up is general stalking and harassment, and both are what I believe to be moot points. First counterpoint: I have 3000+ profile views on DTR because I’m a maniac who plays Gambit well enough to hit top 500 and a GL user to boot. People inevitably come to my profile page to either look at me or comment, and that’s part of the gig at this point. If you play well enough, you attract that sort of attention whether you want it or not, and Bungie can’t/shouldn’t do anything about it. There are Cheater Watches in discord servers for a reason. Second counterpoint: Harassment excuses come from players who say that more experienced PvE/PvP players will look through their PGCRs and poke fun at them over it. Those kinds of people are elitists and deserve no thought. Meanwhile, if you don’t want to be heckled for not being able to play Gambit or raid effectively, there are always resources at your disposal. Sherpa LFGs exist. YouTube exists. Literally any fault that can be conceived or found in PvE is rooted in the player making a dumb mistake. It’s on them to figure out what to do to get better, and a non-issue at best.
