This should be an easy fix and should've been shut dowm with the armories. The fact that it hasn't reeks of laziness and/or ineptitude.

Yeah, there ought to be some more sophistication to what can be detected. The current system shouldn't rely on finding out whether a player hasn't moved or performed any actions at all, after a set time. Unfortunately cheat suite and macro providers are always a step or two ahead of the security team chez Bungie, it seems.
