VoG: Balance the Change

I'm of a split mind right now. On one hand, vanilla Vault of Glass would have been kinda boring in Destiny 2. On the other, the changes that were added are rather intrusive and spoil the experience. Personally (and emphasis on that because nobody can agree on anything anymore) I feel like the changes should have been met somewhere in the middle of what they are now. For the sake of transparency, allow me to list the notable changes and how I reflect on them: *Phase 1 Cyclops: Not a terrible addition. It does add some nice challenge. The only issue I found was they tend to spawn too frequently. There are instances where you can kill one and another will spawn before the smoke even cleared. *Wyverns: Not so much an issue with the addition themselves, but rather with the fact these monsters STILL act more like minibosses rather than heavy units. They tank large amounts of damage and have a homing attack that can launch a player clear off the map. They either need to be removed or have their lethality reeled back to something comparable to Minotaurs. *Counting Oracles: A lot of people are complaining about this. Oracles have to be destroyed in a certain order or face a potential wipe. I don't think its a huge issue, especially seeing as how the timer is fairly generous towards taking them out. I feel this change would be much more appreciated if it didn't also come with more hostile changes. Needs further study. *One-way detainment: Players can no longer bust themselves out of detainment. Why? Why would such a thing be added; it completely ruins the flow of DPS phases. Now that should be removed. The 3 player detainment worked fine at putting a temporary pause to players. This beartrap of a gimmick is just frustration for the sake of frustration. *Relic Teleport Lockout: Not a bad addition. It keeps players on their toes in order to increase fluidity. My only grip is that the lockout timer is kinda long at 45 seconds. Players going too fast can actually get caught stepping their own toes. I'd recommend bumping the debuff down to 30 seconds. *Overload Champions: Get em out. Nobody wants them. Nobody likes them. Stop imposing champions into every little thing. *Atheon's sniper harpies: This addition was kinda sadistic and might be partly why people hate counting oracles so much. When Atheon opens the timestream, the players not warped have to find high ground so the supplicants don't blow them up. Now Bungie added harpies that sit in the sky and harass these sitting ducks. Its bad enough the outside team needs to track the oracles and clear supplicants, but now they can't even have a couple semi-safe spots? That's just mean. So that's my take on this new Vault of Glass insanity. This is just my own two cents, but I'm giving it anyway. If you have anything (constructive) to add or debate about, feel free to do so.
