It’s been since Shadowkeep when we got our last crucible map, Fragment, and I believe Bungie has completely abandoned the idea of producing new ones as they gain no monetary value from doing so. This is why we need access to map creation tools in game or on some other software so the community can supply with the maps that keep crucible fresh and entertaining. Here’s what I had in mind: - Map creation tool/software - the community can make these maps which are stored in game or on bnet - bungie could host a monthly/ seasonal competition for best map(s) that can be featured in the core playlist if it is up to par. - that person can also be awarded with an emblem or other in game reward for their effort - this results in new maps for us while bungie gets to work on other stuff. - this could also gain a larger community of people who enjoy forge. At the very least we need new maps. At this point we’re desperate for something new...
