The whole clan system needs an overhaul. The rewards kinda suck for hitting each Clan Rank. Very under-wealming. I feel like the only incentive to hit top rank is to unlock a bounty... We shouldn't be locked out of certain bounties just because, we aren't top rank yet. Those bounties are supposed to HELP you hit top rank, no? The clan banner customization options haven't been touched since the release of D2. The system in which we earn clan points is horrible; [b]ANY activity you do with a clanmate should offer clan points.[/b] Its lame that my buddy and I can't get clan points for doing most of the activities in the game together. We just end up grinding out patrols and pub events to fill the points. Lame. The whole point system and how we earn clan points needs a rework. Maybe a clan space? Make us actually feel like we are in a clan we play, not just another page on the Directory. Here's an idea my buddy had: clan donation box. He's sitting on massive stacks of mats and wishes he could donate to his clannies who need them. Have a limit on how much you can donate/receive a week. Donate glimmer/shards/cores/planetary mats to a collective clan pool. Earn a small amount of clan points for donating maybe? This would be GREAT for big or small clans. The vets can help the newbies. Or in a smaller clan of close friends helping each other out. I dunno. I feel like Bungie made the clan system when D2 dropped and has neglected it since. It has SO MUCH potential. And OP is right: a better way to show off our flag or staff would be cool. Maybe our clans "crest" can be a patch/medallion on our armor.
