  • Because they were rewards from Trials of the Nine and a clan engram if a group in your clan actually played Trials of the Nine. End game content isn’t the most played content in Destiny and Y1 of D2 wasn’t exactly popping.

  • Of course we need new weapons, but here I say that these weapons are here, for free, it wouldn't be much effort to update them. Think of the armor in the prophecy dungeon: the fact that not only the trial of the nine armor is dropping, but also a new set of armor Daito. Bringing back trial of the nine armor didn't blocked bungie from creating new armor as well.

  • The Daito armor sets were supposed to be the eververse armor sets that they would normally sell with silver. Just how this season it’s the celestial set. The day before arrivals came out bungie said that they wouldn’t make anymore eververse purchasable armor but instead the armor they do create make it earn able through some activity and that they wouldn’t do it again, but here we are with the celestial set for silver...

  • But at least these sets can be bought with bright dust that can be earned thru the seasonal challenges

Yea we can buy them for bright dust, but bright dust is severely scarce. I know the seasonal challenges are there and give us bright dust but it’s not enough. Completing a full week of challenges grants you anywhere from 150-450 bright dust. Right now the celestial helmet is being sold for 1200 bright dust... and it’s only on eververse for 1 week. What if the player wants it and falls short on bright dust from that week. It creates a situation, should I buy a diff ornament for a gun or exotic armor piece or save up to get 1 piece of seasonal armor. you see where i’m getting at? They want us to stockpile bright dust for one piece of armor and we can’t complete the set. Incentivizing the player to pay IRL money for silver to get the rest. If bungie really wanted to reward players and stick to what they said back in arrivals they’d tie the armor set to an activity so the player can earn it without having to buy it. While the bright dust we earn can be used to buy exotic weapon/armor ornaments, sparrows, etc.. Another example is the free battle pass armor, The free version of the armors are horrendous and dull. They make it that way so you feel more compelled to buy the battle pass and grind it to earn the upgraded ornament versions of them so you look atleast semi more cool.
