Gambit Ranks. What Counts and How Many
In order to gain progress for the “In It For Infamy” seasonal challenge you need to earn 5 infamy ranks.
These are Brave, Heroic, Fabled, Mythic and Legend.
It only counts once you move up to the next major rank. So going from Brave III to Heroic I counts while going from Heroic I to Heroic II does not count.
Below is how many times you will have to play gambit in order to complete this challenge.
This week is double infamy. Thank you Seraphim Crypto for confirming this.
Below is how many points you will earn depending on what rank you are on. (Numbers in parenthesis is x3 from Saturday to Tuesday)

Input your current Infamy score in C/D2 (Only numbers between 0 and 15000 are allowed). Input how many bounties you think you'll complete in B3 (Only numbers between 0 and 9 are allowed). At the top left in A1 switch between Regular Points, Double Points and Triple Points Mode. The stats in B5-G5 is what your infamy score will be after your next match depending on if you lose or win and what your current win streak is. The number in B6 is how many matches you have to complete to reach Legend Rank and the numbers in C6-G6 is how many matches you have to complete to Reach Max Rank and Reset your Infamy. The Ranks are listed at the top and are color coded. The colors in B5-G5 represent what rank you will be after the match. The chart to the right (I-O) represents each rank and sub rank, how many points each match is worth (depending on your rank and if you lose win and what win streak you are on) Chart (P-R) shows the infamy score of each sub rank. Wow, looks like I got a grind ahead of me. I’m somewhere in Mythic III. I think. Looked up the data mined challenges to come and there’s gonna be a lot of PvP. Guess it’s my season to get good, lol.

This "quest step" is arse. I've already reset gambit once this season. That was enough for me but boy bungie sure didn't think so 😂

23 Respuestas1. You don’t have to do it. The reward is XP and some bright dust, nothing more. 2. You are basically being given the rest of the season to reset your infamy rank. 3 . There are many things worth complaining about in the game. This is not one of them.

1 RespuestaMore Gambit... As if aquiring Dredgen wasn't enough Gambit for one lifetime... Nuke Gambit already. Battlegrounds should be turned into a Gambit game mode. First team to kill all invading forces/bosses in a given time wins. Invade and fight for Catl to earn extra rewards at the end, but only if your team wins will Catl reward you with Cabal weapons & armor.

3 RespuestasThis sucks, because i ran out of things I wanted to do a week or two so ago, so i grinded out gambit for the gilded dredgen title. 50 wins is no joke when playing solo. So im pretty burnt out on gambit. Then this challenge comes along a month into the season. Just poor timing. This should have been a challenge earlier, or it should be retroactive like some of the other challenges.

Because of challenges like this, there's literally no reason to do weekly challenges until they've all been revealed. Especially if they're not going to retroactively account for progress. smh

Ridiculous that they tossed this out there this far into the season but don't count previous progress like they did with most of the other seasonal bounties. Then again we already know they have to artificially manufacture the grind to keep that carrot out in front of us.

Is this across the account, though, or just for one character? I have three characters, so if I dip my toes in (I haven't played Gambit in a while), I might be able to rank up multiple characters pretty quickly through the lower ranks. Also, as a seasonal challenge, it doesn't have to be done in a week, so there's time, right? I know it seems like a lot, but for those who love Gambit, I imagine this is achieved fairly quickly.
