Year to year you would have to change your armor sets. I have three up until next lightfall. If you don't remember and I know a lot of you don't, the mods were set to expire sooner act during shadowkeep. Remember expansion one would have a set amount of mods but three seasons later they would not be viable. With that future set of armor. With this system, mods now go year to year... This means that [u][i][b]mods last longer[/b][/i][/u] with the current sun setting system. Are we really going to complain about changing armor year to year now? what if you find something in the summer that has better stat rolls than what you're using right now? What if that power cap doesn't expire until that following summer? If you're going to play a looter shooter and you're not going to end up changing out your gear and testing out the new things then you're not really looting are you? People who complain about armor don't understand that they're going to have transmog. The next armor sets that you find out there with better rolls will possibly look better to you or look worse but you have the option to now change how they look. If anything, it's the weapons that we need to focus on... Not the armor.
