High stat armour drop is a joke
To start off, I am being generous in calling 60 as a base requirement for high stat armour roll of any type for now.
All the activities that are marked as dropping current season armour and high stat are sort of misleading. RNG is one thing but stay being 50 something is another. After so many runs, you get an armour to drop and it's just 58 max. If something drops at 60, the rolls are just useless with mobility and/or intellect so low that you literally feel dumb.
Surprisingly, most of the prime engrams or regular activities drop high stat gear from OLD season.
It's like the game is forcing us to mod old armour and setting us up for sunset and material wastage.
I don't know if this is by design or just RNG rubbish as usual but it sucks either way!

1 Respuestawhat I have found is that the best armor drops from the prophecy dungeon. basically all my high stat armor has been acquired there. I can't even get anything higher than mid to high 50's anywhere else. maybe in the dsc but I haven't done that yet.

I have yet to get anything to drop passed 66. And that was a chest from season pass....

LordNuker08 You make some valid points and I agree that ever verse should be removed from this game. But Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

100% agree. I've done master nightfall...and solo masters and nothing but crap. I'm still using gear that I masterworked from last season. Soon, I'll have to find something else once season 13 hits.

3 RespuestasGot a solid set from iron banner that I will wear all year. I’m good on armor. Probably the easiest method, and personally I like the Titan set this season. Closest thing to the taken king IB armor set with the right shader.

1 RespuestaThe unfortunate thing is my personal best armor is from the seasons pass. I grind end game activities quite a bit and my best armor is still the armor that was just handed to me. Feels like it should not work this way.

1 RespuestaI just use season pass armor, Bungo would rather sell you the best set ( well close to it) instead of making playable content for good armor you just buy it and do strikes and bounties to earn it. Done the raid 20+ times and none of my drops have had better stats.

2 RespuestasTheory: There will eventually be a tier 3 wrathborn hunt. There’s a chance that the guaranteed high stat armor is being saved for tier 3 armor wrathborn hunts. I hate waiting for stuff like this. But I’m not sure if I’m correct.

The Wild Hunt set of armour you get from the later offerings in the Season Pass is the best overall set I’ve seen thus far. Screw the grind. MW this set. At least you’ll have 1 decent set with 1410 expiry date.

Well when normal legendary drop at between 45-50. I guess Bungo thinks 50-55 is higher than average.

2 RespuestasI love using the lure mod that has armor drop with “higher than average stats” just to have it drop at 54. Higher than average? I must have godly rng if most of my stuff is rolling mid 50’s and 54 is “above average lmao

adjust up cooldowns....adjust down stats on drops....quiet little nerfs.

This is why heart of inmost light and frostees are meta. They reduce cool down so you don’t really need high stat gear. Sucks to be warlock though.

1 RespuestaJust do the Europa missions for crystocrene armor, they drop at 60+ and have a power limit of 1410. Pick an exotic you like and build around that. Besides my warlock bond I'm 75+ on all of them.

I still have about 70 ascendant shards including about 35 masterworked exotic gears sitting in my vault waiting for that 1 ascendant shard payback when I’ll dismantle, and hundreds of prisms. Plus so many masks ready to yield more enhancement cores. Even when I get a good roll, Idc care, that shit generally expires at 1310, ridiculous.

Firstly, I agree with you. Secondly, I've stopped caring about gear, gear stats, grinding for gear and gear stats, mostly because of sunsetting but also because the game has become uninteresting. I just use what drops. We basically have no choice.

They need to make armor drop wirh a stat total between 60-80.

1 RespuestaIts a bigger joke to finally find the perfect build and realize it will get sunset in the future, Ive stayed away from destiny because of sunset. The forums at least always feels refreshing unless everyone is calling for a nerf on something. apart from that, the satire, jokes and reading random people argue is more fun than playing the game itself lol.
