Got a warning today, but the connection has been absurd since the DLC dropped for me. Never got a msg for the past 1.5 year. Same connection. There were always connection issues for me. Ethernet connection. And I don't even do raids, nightfalls, trials, or comp. I just play control for the exp/power levelling, etc. Think they should fix their servers first instead of sending out warnings like this. New light player, got the shadowkeep deluxe edition and forsaken, good thing I decided not to spend any more money on this game after finishing off the seasons of that dlc. Also, I mostly solo queue for everything, no lfg/groups, not even with clannies. Wonder what caused them to issue this warning.

I mainly play Destin 2 on PC. I use a hard-wired connection from my Arris Touchstone CM8200 modem to my PC. The modem has a secondary line going to a wireless router for the rest of the family connection. I pay for 1 GB internet service. When checking with speedtest, net I generally have a connection of 800 MB download, 50 MB upload. However, as soon as I load Destiny 2, my connection speeds drop to under 10 MB download, and 0.20 MB upload. When I close out of Destiny 2, my connection immediate reverts back to the wonderful speeds I expect. I have not been able to duplicate this performance with any other game. Interestingly, out of the games I have tested connection speeds, the only one that has the same issue is HearthStone. I have also tried Fall Guys, Among Us, Halo: Master Chief Collection, and Minecraft. It wasn't but within the last week that I found HearthStone had the same issue. I have been having the connection issue while playing Destiny 2 definitely since Deep Stone Crypt raid launch weekend. I had always thought it was solely a D2 issue since I couldn't replicate the problem with any other game. Also, about a month ago, I worked through an unrealted connection issue with my ISP (I initially contacted them to so they could check on the D2 issue). They found a problem with their "phantom connection" (redundant connection) that is meant to stabilize internet speeds. That issues has since been resolved, but has not alleviated my D2 connection isses. In the past couple weeks, I was recommended trying a couple games on Blizzard since I hadn't tried that, and that is when I was able to duplicate the issue with HearthStone. At least that leads me to believe that D2 may not be the sole problem. To the best of my ability, I have worked through the Networking trouble shooting. I am more limited to what I can do sine I am direct wired to my cable modem. When I was wired through my Nighthawk router, I checked to make sure UPNP was active, I opened all the suggested ports, and I forwarded all suggested ports. I also verified my game files through Steam. I honestly do not know what the issue may be at this point. I am at a complete loss for more ideas. So far I have not received any bans for poor connection, but it I know it is only a matter of time before this issue catches up with me. And it really sucks to have these issues since I have been playing since Curse of Osiris. If anybody has recommendations past these ideas, please let me know.

Got a warning a couple days ago. First ever while nothing has changed on my end. I can do any PvE mode just fine with no lag aside from the occasional abnormality, even Rumble or 3v3 pvp modes work just fine. But as soon as I get in a 6v6 mode shit goes down. And by shit I mean the connection. My net speed is not great at all and I'm aware of it. Download is perfectly fine, reaching nearly 5mbps (still not great but it's in the OK-range) but Upload is abysmal at 0.8mbps. I've looked at my providers and even at the average of the region. Which is 1mbps. Which is 4 times more expensive than what I currently am paying each month. But it's also the highest the providers in my region can offer. And I'm obviously not going to pay several tonnes to move elsewhere

I have Been suspended since early Sunday before Weekly reset.part of the matter being apparently is my internet, but that is false due to the fact I myself have went 4 years playing destiny and destiny 2 with no problems what so ever, yes, there are times I lag out of my game or I might teleport once or twice, but my internet is fine. It's running on 100% strength with latency at 84 ms. I really don't understand. I have already sent 2 appeals. One explaining what going on and one with information on my internet and how well it's running as of this date. But still, no response. Bungie. You need to respond and tell us what is up. Cause this is outrageous.

At this point in time since being restricted I have been monitoring the connections forum as closely as possible. General consensus - Long term players who have extremley viable connections (Some are live streamers too) have been informed their internet is not adequate for a number of reasons. I have never seen a restriction wave cause alot of issues with players until coiindientally I recieved one too. At this point I believe Bungie need to reconsider their appeal process as I believe many innocent players are at jeopardy of missing out wrongly on the game they love. I have since moved my router to an open NAT to ensure all my connections are as smooth as possible in pvp but I am anxious and scared I will face the 2 month penalty regardless of how well I've attempted to fix my supposed problem connection.

Editado por PapiHoss: 12/10/2020 10:08:42 PMThe exact same thing happened to me! Never had problems, never a message until about 3 weeks ago and now restricted. I feel this is not on any of our ends.

I’ve been restricted from pvp and my internet connection is fine if it was that bad then I wouldn’t be streaming right now lol. Like how is it my fault for bad connection they really should fix there servers Instead of blaming us for the connection issues.

Editado por AENIMA1: 12/8/2020 12:02:20 AMThis is scary. I cannot believe people are being banned for it, Bungie should have really updated their server setup not to mention figuring out which end the problem is on (ie people with top notch connections being told THEY have network issues) 😳 Bottom line is I'm getting zero issues in every other online game (and not one other device wired or otherwise) but somehow destiny is constantly telling me I have network problems. Oh wow. After reading a different post on the issue it seems not only the above problem exists but also people are blaming those suffering poor connection - regardless of whose fault it is - people are being told they're ruining the game for other players. I can understand if someone is deliberately glitching their connection in PvP but most people are genuinely getting caught in a situation beyond their control. Must be gutting to have invested time and money only to get banned - or banned AND blamed - for simply trying to play their game. 🙁

Got the same message and I don’t understand why. Nat is open, 98mbs up 30 down, 12ms ping, wired connection to fiber! Do occasionally get booted for being idle when in the tower, does that count as connectivity issues?

Editado por Kuma: 12/10/2020 8:41:55 PMYeah, my connection has been terrible ever since beyond light dropped. I've tried to fix it because I thought it was on my end but all my other online games have been fine. I just tried to complete my basic grind until it got better because the connection was all over the place, I literally had to stop because it was so inconsistent and I wanted to avoid this very issue. Unfortunately my multiplayer access got restricted despite how I avoided playing, I want to contact bungie to see if I could get the restriction overturned because I've read that a lot of people have been experiencing this issue but I dont see a way to contact bungo directly with this issue besides this forum. I've literally been a player since house of wolves so it's pretty discouraging to not be able to play all the new content I bought. Even worse this is the second time this has happened to me in d2 (the first was my fault, my router was super messed up but was replaced a long time ago) so now I'm restricted with no warning for two months for something completely out of my control. I really hope bungie recognizes that a lot of people have been having these issues, I understand Bungies need to have a certain restriction in place but two months with no warning is excessive especially with all the people that are having trouble connecting since the beyond light expansion. To everyone who saw my message and came here to post thanks! I would just like to reiterate that you should definitely look into restriction appeals and optimization solutions. Also just so were on the same page those facing restrictions like myself were consistently lagging in multiplayer activities. What we need to communicate is this lagging is sudden and not on our end seeing as were all suddenly having this issue. Please remember to be respectful when addressing bungo and your fellow players.

I get banned 2 times for poor connection but I don't have any problem with other games or my other acc that I play destiny just my main acc get 4 months ban for nothing and support never help I can't play with a new subclass in my main acc and if it happens one more time I really want quiet game for poor support
-
It is not the players fault if they have poor connectivity. If Bungie finds someone consistently having poor connectivity then they should ban them from being hosts in multiplayer activities rather than banning them from playing the game.
-
I use my mobile phone for internet, wirelessly and never get this message. I do have 50 down and 10 up though. Moderate Nat.

Editado por wilker: 12/1/2020 11:24:15 PMI got banned from the crucible and the gambit for bad connection, it's painful enough to have bad internet to get banned for that, se pasaron de vrga

I just got banned today for 2 weeks even though I got a new router and have been having good internet for several months. The mere concept of getting banned for internet connections is astounding and something Bungie shouldn`t be doing. I can still do strikes but no pvp at all, and I had bounties and quests to do today for those activities too, what a shame Bungie. This really puts me off from the game
-
Yeah I got that message too, pretty effing disgusted with it to be honest. I paid for both Destiny games, all the DLC, full price, and I'm paying for PSN too. Where do they get off threatening to lock off chunks of the game from valid users? From a company with their track record of server issues, bit of a joke! If their matchmaking is incapable of putting me in a group where my sometimes-crappy connection can be tolerated, how is that my fault? Also the game just crashed me out to the home screen... I sure hope that's not counted as a connectivity issue because it happens about once a day at this point.

Editado por ITheNameIess: 12/3/2020 12:08:23 AMThats my 3rd time getting a restriction, last time was around July 2019 (2 months by the way). But I changed my network to one 20× faster (my network was something like 2mbps Up and Down). But still I got restricted again(it should be permanent but its not...). Lets start our "NETWORK RESTRICTIONS DON'T MATTER" to get it fixed.👍

Laughing at all you kids with god awful connections. Stay out of Crucible. Lol

I have been banned for 2 weeks from ma5c6hmaking and I got no warnings. I can't fix my connection like how is that my fault so can I please have my ban lifted

Are you hardwired or using WiFi? If you are using WiFi. Do everyone and yourself a favor. Don't. What are your tested network stats? Up AND down speeds? Ping? Latency and jitter? This is the important one. Tested PACKET LOSS? Editado por SolarCerberuS: 12/1/2020 8:19:36 PMThe game is P2P which is heavily reliant on player connection and most importantly it's stability. A strict NAT will not give you a good connection. Bungie have ramped up their crackdown on connectivity recently so for everyone gaming with unstable connections are at risk of being restricted and/or banned. Contact your ISP and or modem manufacturer to find out how to enable open NAT and port forwarding these can improve connection stability. WiFi is not recommended especially if you have other devices in the home connected over WiFi. Simple actions like running a microwave in the vicinity can also interrupt WiFi connection stability. Always run wired connection esp for P2P games for max stability and connection. But definitely need to get away from the strict NAT.

got one of these too today, I only play gambit and have only been playing one or two games, stupid to have this kind of system in a non competetive game mode. They must have handed out a lot of these today for some reason.
