Opinion: More Loot (Weapons in Particular) Should've Been Added Initially Alongside Sunsetting This Season

I don't think we should be having another episode of "drawn-out seasonal loot chasing" as it looks like we are going to be going through that again. This is Year 4 now of this game. Sunsetting is here and tons of loot has been capped, unviable in new content. It looks like just another small season when I look at Collections, possibly even smaller than SotU/Shadowkeep when it first launched, which is alarming. I will say though, perhaps it is still too early to assume things. We haven't even seen the new seasonal activities and what they offer as none of the new loot tied to that can be seen in-game yet. But with sunsetting, it DEFINITELY feels smaller. As I said before in the past, if there was going to be sunsetting, new loot and the loot system better be addressed better. I can already tell that it was not. There really should've been more to the start of Year 4 when it came to loot. Now I understand that making a new subclass with a new element can take a bit of time and resources. I get that. The loot is still a rough-point with this game right now though as it's been. But hey, console load times are amazing and there's a new raid around the corner, so those are cool. ----- If I were to summarize what I think is the problem with the game today in one sentence, it would be this: "Too much time-gating is stretching out too little content."

That's not good.
